She almost got fired for selling me my Tama Starclassic kit in 99. I walked into the music store and she was putting the kit together, I fell in love with the white Pearl finish and the sound of the drums. When I went back to get an additional 16” floor Tom , she told me that that particular kit was supposed to be a display only, because it was a limited edition. It was to be either auctioned off or given away at the drum festival that they had each year. That year in particular I believe Lars was featured!

Love it! I played drums/percussion/drum corps/jazz band from 4th grade to college, but I could never get the hang of using traditional grip. I loved watching Stewart Copeland perform and I would use traditional grip during performances where the drumming wasn't very complicated. It's very practical when navigating a drum set over matched grip, but it just looks so cool too!
