I like how the devs made the massive wing to easily identify the ships location visually.

I was a little upset to see that there doesn’t seem to be any customization options for the Mantis in Jedi Survivor, but it’s such an awesome looking ship to begin with that I don’t really care too much. I can give Cal a beard and Jedi robes now, that’s what really matters.

When traveling the galaxy, the Mantis is a great mobile home/yacht. However, as a rebel ship, it’s a flying target. It’s wing makes the ship unreasonably big, and it only has one set of blasters at the front. It’s large profile also makes the ship easy to spot and easy to recognize. I could forgive the giant wing if there were more weapons and/or stronger shield systems. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.

I see a failed opportunity for there to be weapons on the spinning part in Jedi Survivor. Cal is basically using it as a dropship at the start of the game, so some additional arrament wouldnt hurt anything. With any luck, we'll see that happen in the sequel to Survivor

I'm probably not the only one that was expecting the senators yacht to be the new player ship in survivor once you got onboard, still love the Mantis though.

Near the end of Fallen Order it's also revealed that on the lower deck of the ship are escape pods that shoot out of the bottom of the ship.

I love the stuff that Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor have added to Star Wars.

The overly large wing might also be used to radiate heat as well It has been said that if we ever start having manned exploration of the solar system, our ships would have large fins for heat dispersal as well because the worst danger to a ship is too much heat It sounds odd in the cold of space but it's true If we arm ships with lasers, it wouldn't blow up a ship like in the movies, it would heat it up or melt through it I think the third seat in the cock pit is for communications while the fourth seat is for navigation, as in charts, whether digital or hard copy, for local navigation such as on a planet's surface, checking ocean currents and tides and so forth The big holo projector in the next room might be for things like star systems and such, but not for more local things. The truly bizarre thing that I've noticed about the ship is that, if it was built for Latterans, BY Latterons, why is the scale wrong? Especially in the holo-projector room. Shouldn't the table be MUCH shorter? The pilot and co-pilot's seats are configured for creatures their size, but shouldn't the chairs have four armrests instead of two?

I love how you also instantly picked up on the hyperspace dialogue where Greez said the class of the ship, Im assuming thats where you got the class of it from, when I heard the dialogue my eyes lit up and I instantly screenshotted it

The worst type of ship for Rebels is the unshielded/unarmed transports that get taken out with 1 shot. The Mantis doesn't have much weaponry but it has heavy shields, is fast and has a space witch cloaking device.

You always give us what we need just when we need it. Thanks for the complete tour especially the power system and interior details. I'm impressed by the graphics that the creators provided. Maybe one of those tall containers in the kitchen has blue milk.

I remembered Spacedock commented that when the Engines and the wing move, he calls it "An Engineering Nightmare."

Compared to other 2 famous rebel crew ships (Ghost and Falcon) Stinger has a set of advantages and disadvantages: -It's a luxury yacht. Really comfortable to live on, but is much more catchy for the eye of enemy. If Correlian ships are Fords, this thing is Rolls Royse. -It doesn't have a mounted turret for a precise fire on the enemy -It has high grade power shields able to winstand intense enemy shelling -It's really fast and agile, as for ship this size perhaps only rivalled by MandalMotors Kom'rk-class. This ship went to hell and back. Being used by one of the doughty crews of Saw Gerrera's partisans, at the dark times, when both Falcon and Ghost were still living their casual lives.

I like the ship, but I also don’t like that long wing… I think I’d put another engine part of the way through it to give it some practical use. Make it just a tiny bit faster. Or cover the sides in TIE panels for all the stuff they do-

a good refit would be to get rid of that massive sail for another engine the same length away from the hull as the other for added mobility, maybe a pair of heavy cannons on a gimble in the front of the ship to take out fighters?

I actually based a spaceship design similar to this but their is no long sail part and a few changes which i called the phoenix nest. Yes litraly. Its designed like a freighter that was mostly designed as a living space but is epuiped with weapons and shields to serve as a command ship whilst the drone fighters would swarm the enemy skies and cripple enemy forces.

Its been reveled Greezw took a huge loan to buy the mantis

If I was a bounty hunter I'd want to have this ship and customize it. I would replace that giant sail with a second thruster like the one below it and add more fire power

The holo-table thing might be a bit of a luxury for the ship because they have colour instead of just blue like the others.

I always thought that Greez's ship is a modified version of the base model, that either he or Cere have upgraded to better serve in combat. The targeting computer and fire controls for instance.

The thruster covered by the pipe strikes me as a spare, same way a lot of cars have an externally mounted spare wheel.

The x wings and the mandolin’s ships are the best.. the mandolin ships are basically everything in one a FOB and troop deployment etc..

Cal is mapped from the actor cameron monaghan who in 2019 at the release of this game was 5 ft 10 so that changes the specs a little

The worst type of ship for rebels still has to be those inexplicably slow bombers from TLJ that even more inexplcably used gravity launched bombs in space.

I'd found the Stinger Mantis's giant wing to be an odd design choice. But the idea that it's mostly aesthetic to harken back to sails on ocean-going yachts makes a lot of sense. Especially if that's the sort of thing that would have a particular appeal to Lateron culture.

honestly mantis is so messed up like how the hell does this survive stuff being a rebel's ship... or is it looking like a "yacht" made it somehow get away with stuff. it's the less likely ship of a rebel. and it only has like 2 canon in the front. how'd you cover the sides, up, and beneath plus behind. and the movement of the thrusters kinda attached to the tail makes it predictable. how the heck is greez making this vessel unhittable is so weird. greez is one heck of a pilot.

I have a question but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't played it yet so if you haven't finished the game then don't click on "read more " So where did they store cere and Cordovas corpses because the amount of time between them dying and being cremated had to be days ... if not weeks depending on how much time you spend going around and exploring before heading to tannallor, bodies do decompose even in the galaxy far far away On a side note couldnt have merrin bring Cere and Cordova back from beyond the grave ... I don't want that because I think it's been overused in star wars but it was an option (at least it was before they cremated them)

The problem of continuing the Star Wars saga in books, comics, etc. Anyone can do it, there is no quality control. It is very noticeable in the designs of ships, uniforms, etc. Since the original trilogy I haven't seen ONE design that even competes with the originals, except in the movie Rogue One, two or three that aren't bad. Everything else can be said to be complete garbage!

I gotta say I don´t like the ship, it doesn´t feel very homely or comfortable given it´s long and thin design, not good for transporting cargo, no heavy weapons.... I defenetly wouldn´t use it as my go to ship

Even though I already played, and beat the game the Plot Point Spoilers were unnecessary. The Warning is appreciated, but at the same time you could have just as easily explained all of the things from the ship without mentioning Specific Plot Points of the game. I don't know why Star Wars Content Creators constantly choose to do this, but it just gets old. Like I said it's unnecessary, and to be honest it's disrespectful. You didn't have to mention what they were doing, where they were going, why they were doing it, or any of those things.
