“Metaphysics is the finding of bad reasons for what we believe upon instinct, but to find these reasons is no less an instinct,” writes Francis Herbert Bradley in his 1893 book Appearance and Reality, considered his most important work for the British Idealists movement.
Bradley’s theory on reality has two major premises: 1) The truth is what reality is. 2) What is true is what has no contradiction.
