You just gotta appreciate the minor things in this video. Like when there is static in the beginning when Emily's singing, then disappears as they enter the hearse. Pure awesomeness.

Anytime I listen to any song from Fantasies I think of my sophomore year of college. That album was literally the soundtrack of my life that year. I remember walking around my beautiful campus jamming to this on my way to class. Ahh good times...

I see some people arguing about what the mood is. The band, or maybe just emily, has said that the reactions for "Fantasies," are all over. It's not really full of melancholy or hopefulness, it's a wide range of emotions, and I think that's what really captures our attentions, and allows us to project our own meaning.

My uncle died a few weeks ago. First major death for me, we were close. This video opened a whole new and different interpretation of this song. I love it, her running away at the end echoes the feeling of running from the truth...Beautiful. This really speaks to me :)

this band is incredible. this video is superb. There is a note insert above that says that Metric is playing at the Rickshaw Stop on 9/29/11. I almost fell over since Rickshaw only holds about 150 - 200 people. it is not "Metric" that is playing there. It is Alex Metric, a dj who does remixing that is playing there. Just thought I'd clear that up. I'm kind of a stickler for false announcing. Cheers.

creepy isn't necessarily a bad thing...this is an elegant horror film, unearthed from another country / time... part 2 is the "expecting to fly" video - youtube search it, and play right after this one.

It's his film, so he can do what he wants with the music. If you just want to listen to the music, then go find a video that only has audio. Besides, the effect of the song wasn't changed. You're just being nitpicky.

I thought that this was kind of annoying sometimes. I don't like how they change the way it sounds for a couple of seconds like at the beginning when they make it sound different outside the car than it does in side.
