These lyrics... At first semi-passive listen, I heard them literally as "nothing is perfect", like nothing in life will ever be 100% perfect, there will always be something imperfect that was partially responsible for or played a role in it. "Cool", I thought. Definitely a great song. Then I listened again and realized it's "nothing, is perfect" and it hit me so hard. Beyond relatable. It's the poignant, philosophical, stream of consciousness possessed by someone lamenting about the inherent burdens and pointlessness of being a physical being, fantasizing about how leaving this strange, sad, shared reality and returning to nothing seems so tempting because it's the only true perfection. And it's inevitable anyways... Everything (as a concept/state) is imperfect. Nothing (as a concept/state) is perfect.
