Metro: Last Light is a post-apocalyptic-themed, first-person shooter video game with stealth and survival horror elements. It was developed by Ukrainian studio 4A Games and published by Deep Silver for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in May 2013. A sequel to the video game Metro 2033, its story follows Artyom, a young soldier living in the Moscow Metro after a devastating nuclear war. Tasked with finding the mysterious Dark Ones, Artyom must venture to different parts of the metro system, and the surface filled with radiated gases, and fight against different factions and mutated monsters. The game improves on various gameplay mechanics of 2033, and introduces elements such as weapon customization.
Developed by a team of about 80 people, Last Light is a direct sequel to 2033, with franchise creator Dmitry Glukhovsky writing the game's dialogue and main story outline. Multiplayer modes were planned but were eventually scrapped in order to focus on single-player, which the developers hoped would "rekindle memories of Half-Life 2". The game was originally set to be published by THQ, which provided a very limited budget for the game's development. Koch Media acquired the rights to the franchise following THQ's bankruptcy. A planned Wii U version was ultimately canceled.

Well this was a fun little side concept. A scavenger-hunt/survival simulator kinda thing in the metro world. You could make an entire game with this concept, even rogue-like it with randomly generated loot and such and it would be fun! Either way, that was well executed, and a great enjoyment to see :D

This was cool. I can even see a Metro spin off game built around this scavenging mechanic where you would loot random things for money as you're also progressing through some sort of story. It could even have some sort of base building system where you could buy upgrades to your base with the things you find.

You probably know already, because you dont just play metro alone, you also play stalker. S.t.a.l.k.e.r has 3 games and its this gameplay, but you find artifacts left by a disaster that occurred from the 2nd chernobyl nuclear power plant explosion. Its really good and it inspired the same devs that made stalker to go create a different studio and make metro

When you look at this game from that stalker’s perspective,then you really wonder:’’What happened to him,,. And personally I would like to see a sequel of this young stalker in another video game. Because if Artyom grows old it would be cool if this stalker would be the new leader of the order. Just saying.

It is so weird seeing this played with a controller after playing it with a Mouse and Keyboard... SO slow on the pans.

I play with a mouse and keyboard as well. I maintain the smooth mouse movement to make it easy to watch for the viewers and I like to show the environment in detail, so I play at a slower pace :)
