Crocomire is a unit and a divine entity whose awe-inspiring thoughts we (mere mortals) could never even begin to imagine, and it's a good thing the Federation isn't aware of that. Could you imagine an army of Crocomire clones under the GF's control? Terrifying! They would've conquered the entire Universe ages ago if someone had come up with that idea.

Crocomire is the most powerful enemy in the entire Metroid series, none of Samus' weapons do anything to him except push him back, the only thing that he can die from is well... lava.

Did you know that canonically Crocomire fucks? I’m serious, it’s mentioned in an official source somewhere, probably the Super Metroid instruction manual, that he is a very fast breeder and creates tons of juvenile offspring to throw at Samus as obstacles. Or at least, that was the original concept.
