I was on a stream and there were the usual moaners saying it was either meh or the worst direct ever. The were some good surprises and a great line up considering it’s the last year of the switch 1.

All it takes is a responsible comment that says “these games aren’t for me, and there too many RPGs, but I get that many are excited for them, and it was good showcase for the last year of the switch that many didn’t expect much”. That's what I'm thinking too, FE4 and Prime 2&3 are the games with the most recent info that are no where in sight. Zelda ports I still think are happening, if Echoes of Widsom wasn't a thing they almost certainly would've come out this year. Some people still think this Direct was the last main one for the Switch which I mean it could be true, but in terms of an END OF CYCLE Direct, it absolutely wasn't. We only got ONE first party remaster being Country Returns HD.

All incredibly popular and will sell extremely well. That alone made it better than any direct for the last few years. Then you have the 2dhd remakes of DQ 1-3. it may be niche to you but those games are huge in Japan, but so old that the remakes might as well be new games. Then Capcom…I could keep going. But something tells me you wont’ be persuaded. Most people have said it was one of the best Directs ever. Most KZfaqrs, too. The consensus is that it was very good, and that’s how it will be remembered. There’s always a minority who disagree. Congrats- that’s you -lol!

It looks fun. But I get that adults think it looks child friendly. But so do a lot of Mario and Zelda games. But they want the games to have mass appeal. They don’t want hardcore Zelda gamers being the only one buying this game. Makes perfect sense why they go with this style. Tons of people seem to love it.

Top down Zelda games are these cartoony looking games. If it’s not for you that fine, but that’s how Zelda from me is like. I mostly played the handheld Zelda games and prefers those over the 3D ones.

You can watch stuff, pay attention to the sports analysis, learn about schemes and weaknesses of a team. Watching someone play a game isn’t even close. If you said watching esport then I’ll give you that one. There’s stakes, strategy, and teamwork involved

Go watch a no-hit run of Ninja Gaiden on Master Ninja difficulty. It's seriously awesome. It's the same with speed runs, even the speed runs in which someone uses a glitch to cheat their way through a level faster. It's fun to see the glitches and how they're used to the player's advantage. By the way, eSports is named wrong. Video games aren't sports. There's no such thing as a sport of a sport, which is what Madden would be if video games were sports. But they're not. And gamers aren't athletes for playing games. That's just stupid.

When I think of 360 games, I think of awful aliasing and brown, muddy textures. What we've seen of Prime 4 looks nothing like that, I'm not sure how you managed to work out that comparison.
