That honestly got me to laugh. I like to joke how Prime 4 will go the way of Metroid Dread, but in all seriousness, Retro Studios has been posting updates about development team hires throughout the latter half of 2020, and even looking for alpha-build play testers or something along those lines, so I'm pretty sure it's doing quite fine, just slow.

@Lx Saber Hey, that's a bit unfair to say. Well they did scrap it, I don't want to be one of those people and just assume it would be awful. I remember back when Nintendo scrapped that Kirby game on the GameCube. I remember it had tons of screenshots, cool level design and was stated to be a fast-paced, difficult Kirby game and I believe it was developed by Capcom, who did some of the best entries in the series. It showed a lot of promise, but they canned it. Based on what I saw, feel free to insult me if you must, but I still think it *looks* funner than Star Allies. Return to Dream Land is the game that used its concept the most, and assets, but Star Allies only took its Helper System out and, in return, had many of its own problems. But, I digress. Nintendo said this didn't meet their expectations, but I've seen beta games, trailers, screenshots, of other cancelled projects. I have to say, most of them looked really fun. So, had Namco actually been developing it, I had faith it would've been good. They have a competent team of people who have made very fun games, most recently Drum 'n' Fun and Ultimate. Retro Studios, on the other hand, lost the director for Prime and key staff, so hopefully they do a good job without them. I've been more impressed by Namco games than Retro Studios in recent years, still under the assumption Namco was developing Prime 4, so I would've loved to see how it turned out. But, I suppose Nintendo didn't feel the same way.

The fact that Retro Studios still has some people who worked on the Prime Games and that Kensuke Tanabe is still going to be the Producer of Prime 4, does still means that the possibility of Prime 4 being good is still there, also, I don't think Nintendo would just simply go and call Retro again without knowing who was has left Retro and who was stayed, I'm pretty sure that it was hard for them to make that small video about the development being restarted, BUT, that's the thing, they want to Prime 4 to be good, they are aware of how important Metroid is for the fans, also, Retro Studios has actually been making good games for the past years, their last game developed before Prime 4 was Tropical Freeze, idk how well that game did on sales, but it actually did well on reviews. So yeah, I do have hope that this game is going to be great when it finally releases.

Talented studios but Nintendo should have given the project to Retro Studios in first place. Rejoice my children, history is about to be made; 7 years after its announcement, 5½ years after the development-reboot, and 17 years after the previous game, we'll finally see Metrod Prime 4 next week 🔥🔥. They will most likely give it a spring 2025 release date to launch simultaneously on the Switch and Switch 2.
