The Gamecube had alot of great games. Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Resident Evil 4, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Luigi's Mansion 3, F-Zero GX, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 2, Pikmin, Zelda: Wind Waker. So many good games on the Gamecube.

The remaster of Metroid Prime is probably a sign that Retro studios and Nintendo are ready for Prime 4!

One of the least sold Nintendo consoles which still baffles me to this day. What an amazing hidden gem in terms of quality of games.

If only they re launched the gamecube for a 4k version of the gamecube if Nintendo wanted the money to remaster the games and the console they would listen.

What's amazing is that both these games are on opposite ends of the gamecube's lifetime when you say that. Not forgetting MP2:Echoes as well. Which ran at 60fps at all times too

This is exactly why they need to release prime trilogy on switch.Switch is very successful and a lot of older games on it actually sell better than they did on its original consoles.Heck mario kart 8 was originally for wii u (failed console) and its the best selling switch game.

It’s a shame TP was a day late and a dollar short. Nintendo always seems to do that. BOTW was incredible but by the time it came out and for the underpowered switch... I mean play it on CEMU in 4K with updates textures and tell me it’s not a more enjoyable experience. I hope they release the sequel on the Switch Pro if that comes out.

The Japanese versions still have the menues, since they sold them seperately on Wii not as a trilogy.

However, I’m having trouble picturing the end of the Experimentation Age coming up any time soon, so, all the currect problems in the industry are just things we can just endure, since comics, music, movies, and television went through the same shit and turned out fine as well. :D

Duuude me too. First time i played was years later (2015), and even though i had bought many games of the year to play alongside it, prime was the one consuming my time solely. I was playing it for hours and having a blast with every single new secret or shortcut i found. Totally forgot it was a 2002 game, and although super Metroid was the first game in the series i played, prime was the one that made me a fan.

@@IonSquared Never played this game, I downloaded the remake yesterday after losing my mental sanity to Atomic Heart (this game is some stratospheric crap idk how they dared to compare it to Bioshock) and when booting it, the main menu and intro had me infinitely more engaged than Atomic heart, it was relieving. And yes that theme is a pure banger

HBMHD it's not like they milked Metroid. If anything they horribly neglected it.

And companies took more risks back then. Metroid prime took the franchise into the first person perspective for the entire game when the series was mostly 2d platformers. Also the first time Nintendo made a fps with one of their mascot characters

@@calebpribyl5152 I think it will be a cross generation game because Nintendo have done it two times already. Breath of the wild (Wii u -switch) , Twilight princess (GameCube - Wii). I don't think that it will be exclusive on the next console and yes It's very likely to be launch title (pretty good opportunity for Nintendo, why waste it?).
