Hello and welcome to another international train trip report on the channel!
So today we will be taking a loco hauled Eurocity service between 2 capital cities, Budapest & Bratislava. These really are the best ways to get between so many of Europe's great cities and this train in fact runs all the way from Hungary to Prague in the Czech Republic.
České dráhy have really thought of everything when it comes to passenger convenience and comfort on these trains. From a full sit-down restaurant coach, plenty of space-saving bike racks, a wheelchair lift & dedicated compartment, family areas and various seating, in both compartments and open saloon. It's just brilliant, I hope you enjoy the ride!
*PLEASE NOTE* At the time of filming all travel was permitted and has been carried out in full compliance with the local restrictions.
Date of Filming: 19/8/20
Camera: GoPro Hero 7 Black
Operator: České dráhy
Departure: Budapest Nyugati pályaudvar, Hungary
Arrival: Bratislava Hlavná Stanica, Slovakia
Cost: 4140 HUF / €12.00

It's interesting to see your report after seeing the Simply Railway's report of the same train as you emphasised many different details etc.! :) Yeah the tracks are in a worse condition and I hope that the Hungarian goverment will do some infrastructure upgrades here and there otherwise in 3 years we will see the new ČD 230 km/h Railjets crawling here at 120 km/h. 😅 Thanks for the video! :)

Very good coverage with all the components of Rail journey, congratulations! I had travelled similarly in 2018, it was also memorable. Really, it is an opportunity to get idea about landscape, river system, agriculture & horticulture aspects, forest coverage. It has given me an opportunity to interact with locals & exposure to cultural aspects. Invasion of Hungary by many others & protecting Hungarian language has mesmerized me. Hi as a native Czech - i ahve traveled this international line many times - usually overnight 7hrs and 20 minutes - Prague - Bratislava - Budapest... I can confirm that the hungarian tracks are the worst on the rout , the the slovak part behind Bratislava is also weak and the Czech side - its a huge difference because it has been renovated ... Better go to Prague - The Railway statrion building is already renovated and looks amazing! (its the largest Art-Nuveau style building in the Czech republic)

A few years ago, we came to Budapest with Metropolitan EC from Prague. The train was full and all the toilets were closed (the journey took more than 7 hours.). There's an interesting announcement from the loudspeakers at 3:10 which is quite annoying and sadly reflects very well today's Hungarian trains: the train which was supposed to leave to Lajosmizse at 11:16 departs only from Kőbánya-Kispest so they ask its passengers to use one of the Intercity's instead and change trains at Kőbánya-Kispest. The Lajosmizse line is full of these occasions due to technical issues. :-(

@NonstopEurotrip 2 жыл бұрын
Oh no! I've been on that line on a Bzmot?
@ice401557
@ice401557 2 жыл бұрын
@@NonstopEurotrip That is the line but you travelled by Bz on the Kecskemét to Lajosmizse section as I see on your playlist. :-) The Budapest to Lajosmizse section of the line is more troublesome as it is a single track non-electrified commuter line with old rolling stock. One train fails then the entire timetable collapses with it on that day with a domino effect. You have travelled with the retro paint scheme train which you believed to be a Soviet-type. :-D The problem is usually with the reliability of the old diesel locomotives. The Siemens Desiro trains have already gone from the line, the Russian made motor cars seem to be a bit more reliable but has a lack of low floor.

Slovakian: Nemyslel som si ze uvidím moje prekrásne Nove Zamky vo videí na YT xD English: I honestly did not think I would see my dear Nove Zamky in a video on YT xD But as the guy in the train said, this train connect from budapest du Prague, which is why it was provided by CD-České Dráhy :)

I've been through Nove Zamky a few times now, but never stopped. Is it worth a visit?

@@NonstopEurotrip well, its like your normal town, i dont think it is honestly, but we have a swimming park with thermal water which is very nice... Its called "Strand" and you can get there via bus for free. It's called the Strandbus and it departs every hour or so... Honestly there isn't anything very interesting except the main station itself, where there are some things from WW2 in the first floor of the main hall. :)

I swore to myself I do not comment any video captured in my country onboard the train I used to travel frequently, because my point of view is a way different. I like these EC trains for their comfort, I hate these EC trains for being late on the schedule... always.

Not a fan of compartment travel... Much prefer open saloons, personally.... Anti-social roommates on ECs between Cologne -Berlin & Berlin - Poznan pretty much re- enforced thwt sentiment...

So, I HATE compartments. You are the KZfaqur with whom I have the least affinities, tastes and convictions in the world of rail. I am only expressing my subjective opinion. So, I have nothing against you, especially do not take it badly. On the contrary, and I don't know how to say it too much in English (the translator does not work well), you do a great job for us, you give your all, I thank you very much for that, but question of tastes, we strongly disagree. I strongly disagree with many of your choices. Just because you made 3 great videos just released doesn't mean you're still good. You give us one of your worst videos. This is only my opinion, again. The composition of the train is complex, your description is complex, your logos are complex and tiring. We don't learn much on the train. The most I liked was the end, but unfortunately it's too short. Thanks to you, nonstop eurotrip!
