A sip of good coffee will definitely help me in my creativity, I will appreciate it very much, thank you.
Welcom everyone on my channel.
In today's video I will tell you about the differences between Pirelli Angel GT and Metzeler Roadtec 01 SE tires. I rode on both of these tires, so I can tell you this and that. And of course I will be changing tires (again) and the valves and of course I will show you that too.
Have fun
If you like my channel and my videos, you can make a donation using the super thanks button located bellow the video.

Pirelli is very soft. It is easier to change, but it wears out faster. I also put on the Metzeler (standard size). Completely pleased with her.

Great perspective Andy, thanks. Definitely must get some angled valves fitted on mine...need to be a contortionist to get at the straight ones 😅

I installed the angled valve stems, but I found the short valve stems work better.

Hi! I'm from France and have a 2012 Versys 1000. I tried many brand of tyres (Metzeler, Michelin, Continental, Vredestein) and after all those tests I definitively use the Mitas Touring force. I consider they are fine, efficient and less expensive than all the brands that are always tested by the journalists. For the valves as you I changed them on the first tyre changing and of course it's a nice choice. Have safe riding!

For angled valves I found the best solution is to buy the OEM Kawasaki ones. If you get the ones for the Ninja's or H2 bikes, they all fit as standard and you know they are Kawasaki quality rather than some cheap Amazon versions.

@@noggintube thanks for a tip 👊 the amazon valves are still OK so no reason to complain, and if they won't work I will buy kawasaki ones. Take care

I love these tires as well...i can get about 18k km out of the rear on my z900....just installed the roadtec01 on my 2012 v1k...will be monitoring how long they last with the heavier v1k

@@kzijen depending on your riding style, they should last you about 14 to 16 kkm. It would probably be possible to do more, but when a tire flattens out, it's hard to ride on it, so I usually change it after 14 to 15 kkm. Take care

Hi Andy, good video. I also fitted the same angle tyre valves to my versys as you have. I do all my own maintenance and servicing on my bikes but I used one of those small inflatable wedges under the wheel, makes it so much easier to line up the wheel when putting the spindle and spacers back in. Looking forward to seeing your video of your next trip.

Hey, that's a great tip man, in fact I always have difficulty putting the wheel on, you have to lift the wheel, insert the bolt, be careful not to loose the spacers and then put on the brake, it's terribly inconvenient. Thanks, I will buy such inflatable wedges. As for the videos from my travels, unfortunately the plans got very complicated due to personal reasons and I had to cancel many of them, but I'll come up with something, no worries. Keep safe
