I have this bible and I love it so much. I really feel God speaking to me whilst I journal and study His word. I'm not afraid to draw and write and highlight as God would tell me if he was unhappy with me doing so.

Elspeth Mary-Alice Amen to that! It does draw you closer when you spend time in the Bible, whether drawing, journaling etc. it is all time well spent. My mom saw this one and fell in love with it so I gave it to her and got her some colored pencils and she has started to use it and she is 78 so I was excited she wanted it. It made me happy. They did a great job on this Bible and I enjoy the MEV translation as well.

Why would someone have a problem with the nativity scene or praying hands?

Some people just lose their minds over some things and have issues with images depicting Jesus and anyone else in the Bible. It’s a bit silly if you ask me but people get fired up over it. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it

A very nice Journaling Bible for notes and the art work is nice too. It’s good to have more options for a traditional Received Text Translation of the Bible. As you mentioned the KJV being the main Bible used for the MEV (as the preface talks about and explained) and second is the NKJV and third being the MEV (Modern English Version) of the three Received Text Type Translations available now. I know the Chaplains and Christian Military Associations have supported, funded and help produce this new translation. I also work in the military ministry too. They’re desire was to have a modern translation similar to the KJV and NKJV and also based upon the same foundational texts that underline the KJV, being the Masoretic Hebrew Manuscript for the Old Testament and the Received Greek Manuscript for the New Testament- having a Traditional-Byzantine Type Text Translation of the Bible available in modern English. medical rob I really have enjoyed the translation. There’s also a very good review of this translation on the Bible Study channel, it’s about an hour long but is very thorough. It is a great translation and much easier to read than the KJV cause it replaces the archaic words with a modern day equivalent. I enjoy reading the MEV. I just got this Bible from Amazon for only $17.99 It is a couple years after the publication though but I think that’s a great price and I really look forward to coloring and spending time in the word

Priscilla Nishi the pens that I prefer to use are the pigma micron pens. They work very well. I also have a video of Bible marking pens and I show a few different types that work very well. Thank you maam ..will check out that video..Also i find it hard to choose between "The inspire bible -NLT" and "MEV Promises of God"Bible as the inspire one has nearly 400 pictures to colour and the MEV has lesser ones. But also i would like to try the MEV translation over NLT coz the bible i had earlier was NLT. What are your thoughts? Both the bibles are in my cart for a real long time coz of this

Priscilla Nishi the NLT is a much more popular translation and the MEV is still considered to be fairly new. The NLT Edition is very nice and they also have a large print edition of it which I have a video on as well. The NLT is more of what most would call a paraphrase and the MEV was done from the textus receptus which is what the KJV & NKJV was translated from. I really like both translations but if I could only choose one I’d go for the large print NLT. It is very nice.

So with the translation, is it easier for younger people, like teenagers, to understand? I know you said it is good for that age range, but I tend to prefer certain translations. I currently read an NLT version, which I love because of how much easier it is to understand than the KJV, but I’ve not had one of this translation. I’ve been eating a journaling bible with it to add creativity, but I need a good translation. My older ones were tougher for me to really get a ton out of because of the language used, so I love the newer versions.

Lol Linny I think the NLT would be easier to understand than the MEV and the NLT Inspire Bibles are excellent for journaling and they have a Reflections Edition as well with wide margins and they are all nicely done. If you enjoy the NLT I’d look at those. Younger people would probably still prefer that over this one just do to the way younger people speak and the language they’ve grown up around. Christianbook has the best prices too.
