This is what I've been telling my friends for a while now. Y has terrible jungle clear speed and although he may not mega evolve, he can charge his gauge which gives him attack speed anyways by fighting enemy laners before level 5. They called me a madman

What's also fun on Y is playing muscle, rapid, scope and 6% crit emblems. Your attack speed is still high and those crits deal crazy damage. I thought I'd feel a big loss of damage but I did 116K in a game with spoon and also 116K in a game with scope right afterwards.

Never expected to see Cris making a video with both Mewtwo and fun in the title, though I agree lane Mewtwo is a lot more entertaining since you don't spend forever farming. M2X in top path is also pretty good because it can stack easily

The fact that considering the average scenario, mewtwo Y can overwhelm mewtwo X, shows that this game has to do something about CC and ranged pokemon having a bigger advantage

The way it's balanced out is that generally melee mons are either a lot tankier (allrounders/defenders) or stronger and more mobile (speedsters) than the average ranged attacker, so they can better stand being at such an unsafe range. Luckily attackers are pretty squishy so once the gap is closed either by a dash or by taking the cc they tend to go down pretty quickly

Mewtwo x has recover ,its will still be hard for mewtwo y. And one phystrike of mewtwo x deals a lot dmg to y for being squishy

What's the rationale of using psystrike, especially with red emblems? the long casting time greatly reduces your basic attack dmg output, no?

As long as you have a warm body to stand in front of you, bot path is my absolute preferred way of playing Mewtwo Y. But if you have another attacker or god forbid a Comfey, then its so impossible.

As a M2Y main I feel the same, people aren't letting me jungle as much anymore since the nerfs but I've found that it's just as good if not actually better in lane. I still like Future Sight though especially when there are mons on the opposing team that can chase me all the time and I'd rather not deal with that, otherwise I'd use Psystrike; it feels better when not mega, but when mega evolved FS is more fun to me because you can quickly cast it and keep spamming auto attacks at the same time.

But blaze kick feint attack cindrace can deal with mewtwo y and cindrace has more basic attack speed and crit while y has 0 crit so each basic attack dmg of y is fixed

@@m..e21likeschocolate the only good thing about mewtwo y is unite and phystrike,phystrike can rip off half hp of attacker,speedster.its basic attack isnot that impressive at all.and its so squishy too

In a 1v1 X rips Y apart. In a team battle Y holds its own with a support or tank. However comfey running around on X is still a problem. As well as running around on Y.

In a fight between the two Y counters X pretty hard with the future sight push, exactly why X had the lowest winrate in the game around Y's release despite both being insanely broken at the time. In general I think both are good at different things, X obviously being tankier and great at stacking and Y doing more consistent dps from longer range

Assuming it's your favorite because of the playstyle and not just because it's overpowered, I'd recommend you try out Cinderace or Dragapult. In my opinion they're a lot more interesting to play while still having the "press A to win" type playstyle. Luckily it's unite weekend right now so you could just hop into some quick battle with them
