My guys and me frame-out a mansard roof in 16' sections on the ground and pulled it in place with ropes, then bolted it to block walls w/ Tap cons. The American guys were laughing at us until the owner check it with a level and announced "It's perfect". My crew, 3 Mexicans guys that didn't speak English but understood how to work.

ive studied construction round the world as a hobby and worked in south Africa Canada and Britain as a builder, bricklayer and got the chance to work for a polish carpenter in Canada framing huge river side houses in muskoka. ive watched these guys in mexico and its amazing the finishes they get to these framed wood buildings, especially these type on estates, clustered resorts on golfcourses etc they look like finished masonry when complete you wouldn't even know they frame and cladding?, great stuff! Sometimes they use foam architraves with netting then machine plasters and the same for the architrave sculptured show pieces on the facades using foam and plaster looking like beautiful heavy solid stone which give a real highclass mission, sante fe, look to the buildings . In South Africa they use world class tough masonery and concrete glass and steel, not much wood, no short cuts, some of the best solid well built modern , beautiful houses in the world and built to last. Modern estates, theme versions of Tuscan style are very popular here which absorb the heat, and they are cool in summer and retain the heat on cooler night. On smaller sites safety is an after thought. tradition and technique overcome any obstacle and solutions are sort on site . Surprisingly in Britain and Canada where Health & safety is a full time lucrative business, dangerous situations happen no one stops to wait for the right equipment they just crack on. in London health and safety is crazy on big sites, safety officers are a pain in the butt stopping you every opportunity to the point where they prevent you from getting the job done. only the qualified scaffolder is allowed to remove a scaffold pole locked with only one nut and bolt but u have to wait 2 hours for him to arrive so u sit, or go for tea. Rain stops work too if u unlucky u don't get paid .I worked on Whitehall goverment buildings near Hyde Park and the Admiralty down the road from Churcills war rooms London, it took nearly one an half hours just to sign in through security and cameras and body checks because of the government tight security measures, in the mornings and you were escorted to and from worksite and to the toilet ( the security guy would wait outside the toilet and tea breaks. in the far east you still have guys building scaffolding out of bamboo again, tradition. all over the world people are the same really , nice and friendly and joking on sight until you run into a total miserable racist cunt. I found the best way to handle the site bully is to stay fit and strong and challenge them early saves you weeks of uncomfortable bullshit. Thankfully most sites are too busy for arseholes. Sadly im retired now and I sit alone with my dog and can only watch construction on Utube and all your qualifications mean squat when you retired and old no one wants you .Old people have so much to offer still. Governments should really work on utilizing this lost wealth of lost knowledge. Enjoyed this video , thankyou. The thing that you notice about this video is the warm climate they work in. It can get really hot on site and youre exhausted by the end of the day. In winter up north only working hard keeps you warm ha ha! then youre also exhausted and attack the fridge as soon as you get home in the dark because youre famished! hard work keeps you alive!!!!!. now my hardest job is keeping an eye on the lefty liberal lying commie Marxist cunts and their lefty media fake news who are selling out our countrys to islam and their merged globalist lefty allies. you've got to watch what your ememy is up to homies . As an ex soldier who served with the victorius SADF in south Africa I know what cultural Marxism and lefty Marxism is . I think civil war is a possibility. be sharp people remember liberals are losers one your country is gone its gone , you cant get it back again ITS GONE! when youre shaping a surfboard and u take off too much foam its gone , you cant put it back again comprehende?! take pr9de in your building and in your country and your President ! GO PRESIDENT TRUMP! stay fit stay strong guys regards from England

@SargentandGreenLeaf6 жыл бұрын
GmoneyMan I manage them, they sub contract for us to do all aspects of building, and they do all aspects kind-of shitty to be honest have to be watched and checked constantly, the problem is not the labor level workers taking jobs, the problem is these people eventually rise to owning their own companies as many individuals in construction do, it's only natural, but the problem being now that they use cheap labor and have direct lines to fresh employees that they can slave until the fresh immigrant realizes he's worth more money and quits and they just bring in the next round of fresh immigrants to slave, and by having access to all this cheap labor they undercut legitimate contractors with a cheaper unbeatable price, it's unbeatable because they do all these shady practices, additionally the government is forced to use 25% minority owned businesses in contracts, which limits the companies you can use and guarantees Mexican companies will rise(because the only minority companies are Mexican, this is true for 90% of contractors)

I worked for 4 years on tract housing in Northern California (Modesto) and Livermore/Pleasanton. It's unfortunate to say, but these Craftsman jobs by and large are not looking for any worker, they're specifically going for Mexicans. Call it work ethic, call it sub par pay, whatever you want. Fact is most Caucasian kids don't want to do this work. I was a journeyman sheetmetal/HVAC mechanic and in my field thankfully they were still looking for "English".
