Josh, I have been operating an archery shop in Utah for just over 20 years and today's fireside chat basically parallels my story... I don't have near the archery market you have in the Spokane area so my store remains small-fry comparatively to yours, and hunting opportunities in UT are much more limited here, so elk and deer camp for me has been in Idaho for over 35 years. Thanks for sharing this episode. I don't usually sit around listening to people just talk, but like you said, at our age (almost 50 for me) we have to juggle our time differently than all these young IG/FB/SC bros storming the internet. I'm going to make it a point to come visit your shop soon, as I have done with 90% of the archery shops within 100 miles of my store.

Ya it is crazy how many people think that a deer that I harvested that I just got out there and killed it at will. They had no idea that it took 10 years to get that opportunity. Other people that want to eat elk, they shoot but don’t want to put in the work. They are willing to eat the meat but won’t put in the work.

I would shoot a wild boar in florida because all the destruction they are doing. Shooting at beautiful animals.. yeah! Good point guys! Over here in canada, in quebec they are talking about banning bow and cross-bow hunting , because of to many injured animals... 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️. I don't hunt and shoot 300 arrows a week.
