Not all heroes wear capes! Thanks for putting the time and effort in to find out the REAL range expectation on the PHEV! Seems that the 63km range isn’t too much of an exaggeration after all which is good 👍

Thanks Jerry. You’ll get the full amount of 63km in my experience when off the motorway. Motorway driving is not efficient in EV mode. My commute is 27km in each direction, about 2/3 on motorway so it’s fine. I get home with 5-10km range left dependent on the weather.

That's good to know. We get asked a lot by our customers about real world range and that's the reason for this test. Glad to know it works really well.

Thanks for sharing. It's strange to see 63 km listed. But it's true that at your place in NZ it's Ndec 😅 For my part, driving every day in the Paris area (in a hot summer frequently at 40°c and more) I can do 64 km on a single charge. Divided into two trips morning and evening for almost 50/50. I have a small question too since your video takes place at night: Don't you find that the brightness of the screens is too bright? Even at the lowest setting? Mainly the center infotainment screen I find. Thanks

Wow. It is amazing to get 64km. I guess i will need to do a summer test when we get hot down here:D Yes the main screen gets quite bright and I do find it annoying. I will normally switch it to radio or navigation menu to avoid the brightness. You can also turn it off by press and hold the "Home" button.

@@JerryPanandCars Most of my driving is done in Paris where the hybrid excels, and on what is called here "Le périphérique" a kind of circle that surrounds Paris and where the speed limit is 70 km, without stop signs, intersections, or traffic lights. The traffic is therefore fluid and allows a lot of regeneration. I think that is the best configuration for EHS. Right, for the screen I turn it off most of the time. But then it's quite violent when I have to turn it back on for the A/C or music 😎. Coming from a recent Renault with the "easylink" system (4g connection, correlation of speed and sign data with camera reading, touch responsiveness, very fine brightness adjustment...) I must admit that the change is unfavorable... However, it's an excellent big comfortable car, with a lot of technology, and a very good hybrid system. The digital speedometer is just perfect, rich in information and with nice animations. I think that if I had come to this car from my previous car (a DS automobiles) and not from my Renault, I would have barely mentioned the infotainment. Maybe MG will update our cars soon ?

@@Antoineforum Very good information. Sounds like you have found a great car for your daily trips. New Zealand is full of uphills hence regeneration on these cars is not that strong. I agree with you on the screen thing. I wish they can simply add a dark background graphic for night driving. That would help a lot.

How long does it take for the engine to recharge the hybrid battery?

The car will drive and use its hybrid battery all the time, it is close to impossible to fully charge the hybrid battery just using engine.

Araç ayarlarında 3 farklı şarj modu var. Otomatik, orta ve yüksek seviye şarj modu. Otomatikte 0 km olarak gösteriyor ve benzinli motor bataryayı şarj etmiyor, orta modda benzinli motor %25, yüksek modda %50 şarj ediyor ve bu orandan aşağıya düşürmüyor. Araç her çalıştığında bu modları seçmek gerekiyor, varsayılan olarak otomatik mod seçili oluyor. Tanıtımların hiç birinde bundan bahsedilmiyor bence bilmiyorlar.

what cable is suitable? I have to buy them-but there are many with different parameters-type2-Ok.; the meters-Ok-but how many kwh /A-they should be. I am confused.Thanks

This car only supports single phase type 2. Go for 7kW max. No need to go any higher than 7kW on this car.

@@JerryPanandCars the cable came…on a public charger-nearly 8.50 hours-at 76%. On the home charger, the original to the car from a plug at home - 1.50 hours - at the same rates. I don't think 8.50 hours of charging is normal. What do you think? Thanks🙁
