I have the same i bought one and it still good Some parts are easy to break so be careful when building/transformimg it And yes some part are loosen can be fixed by sum super glue or plastic cement overall it have pretty decent articulation and and good design Still worth it Got mine on 17-18 dollar

That is a great price you got! Yeah, the lower leg can be modified for better bend as well.

In my opinion it is an ok kit with good modding skills you can make the articulation better and tighten joints

I agree, I saw people modified the knee joint and it works pretty well.

What part of the kit do you think should be modified for it to improve? Im thinking maybe with top coat the joints should tighten up oh btw is there a brittle part of the kit I should watch out for?

Not so much for the Brittle part. For modification, you can modify the side leg armor, which block the knee bend. :)

I saw a lot of those negative review as well before purchasing mine 6 years back. The thing is if you patient enough, the finished kit is alright and cool looking. I build my as a snap-built only cause I want to see what is the real limit for the model. It turn out good for displaying ;) but I would only buy 1 for the collection.

New Gunpla freshman here, I just got the MG RX-78-02 Origin kit as my 1st and I thought it would be great to purchase an MG Unicorn kit to be his companion piece since this is affordable and good looking! Now it's 2022, is this kit still worth purchasing and any tips on making the kit sturdier? :D

The MG Unicorn is actually not bad if you are not posing him around too much. Like you said it is affordable still, but since your first MG is the RX 78 origin, you would definitely feel the difference and how gunpla evolve over time.

As far as I recall the full armor unicorn is just the mg unicorn but with more accessories and a green psycho frame so you shouldn't have any problems.

Most of the time RG has more, but for Unicorn, they are mostly the same due to the psycho frame design. :)

mg looks better. it's sharper and edgier. rg one looks smooth and less sharper

Yo just got the banshee earlier Im now at the leg part lol Overall ive learned alot of mistake from my unicorn gundam And never broke any parts by far! Armed armor bs and vn rocks they're hella cool

Oh it really up to your taste, The RG Sazabi is a newer kit, but design wise, the Unicorn look better. Or you can also consider the RG Unicorn. That is also a great one. ;)

Just out of the box, I build this guy when I was very fresh. He was like my 5th MG.

Some reviewer are very rough to the model kit tbh. I am more like the type to playing it with care, but let me tell you this. Some model kit doesn’t pass the filming process. I pose around transform doing all the joint test. This model survive through out that process, so that tell you a lot. Hahaha

In my opinion, RG is better in articulation, but MG is better for the look. :)

This one is an improvement of the ver ka. if we think the 90 knee bend is not good on the OVA version, the ver ka is even worst. Also the inner frame color is different OVA comes with sort of metallic black and the ver ka is just light gray.

I would say yes. The joint are not bad actually, and the transformations is alright just the knee part is a bit naughty. ;)

The joint is not loose, the knee psycho frame is. You can try to apply some liquid cement, but it isn't that bad to begin with ;)
