Today, we are going to take a look at one of the best anti-submarine helicopters, the MH-60R Seahawk. If you are curious what this modern warfare machinery has to offer, don’t go anywhere and stay until the end.

For a video about the MH-60R there was little substance on why it was the best. For an asw aircraft it's primary role is sub hunting and the Romeo uses a French system, but don't tell anyone in the US!

@@Ford_Raptor_R_720hp_V8 it is a Thales system, I work on it for 20 years and visited NAS Jacksonville to brief the US personnel, both aircrew and maintenance on the issues we had on its first ten years. You would be surprised at what your aircrew were doing and why they lost more of the submersible units in one year than we have lost in over 20 years of operations.

All built on the mh-60 chassis. They all run the same engines, gear boxes, etc. But Seahawks, both S and R have been modified so they can fold to fit inside ships, and the R has all the radar/sensors/ anti sub stuff. The S is basically a folding black hawk. Gutted interior for personnel and equipment movement. The R is packed so full of electrical equipment that you can really only toss a couple passengers in the back.

I only watched this hoping to see a picture I saw before of 2 torpedoes carried on 1 side, I searched it again but I cannot find it. and I forgot if it was MH-60R or NFH or Merlin. And I disliked the video since it's out of topic

The Wildcat is just a pimped Lynx and has no active asw suite so is limited in its sub hunting capabilities. Additionally it has limited endurance as well.

The Rotor blades of wildcat makes it fastest and Efficient Helicopter in the world. It's technologically advance when it came in service(lynx).

@@rajatdani619 speed has nothing to do with ASW efficiency. The ability to track, identify and attack a sub surface target is what makes a good ASW helicopter. The ability to get there fast is not much use if if can't stay on task for long and track its prey.

@@robhartley3930 bruh I just want to say That every factor contribute for a Good Helicopter either be Asw or for Cargo carring. The Lynx has rigid Blades system that makes it one of the most fastest Helicopter..and in the sea Speed contribute to Fuel carring capacity.

@@rajatdani619 what I mean is that speed is not everything. A helicopters tactical ability is dependent on a number of factors, speed is one but it depends on the requirements on what is the most important. The Lynx/Wildcat has a rigid main rotorhead, apposed to an articulated one on other types. This allows for better maneuverability but is more expensive to produce.

Both are Good...ask us We are using Cutting edge Russian ka27 and most advance ka31.. Along with American P8 and Mh60R Romeo's(soon).😁😁🇮🇳

Comparing apples and oranges. One is a personnel mover with basic military avionics like surface radar and some weapons systems, one is an anti submarine aircraft with electronic warfare systems, advanced comms, and weapons systems. The mh60 can fold and be transported around on ships. The mi can’t. But the main difference is in their mission capability
