Many a time we came across on such vehicles having Number Plate having written POLICE. RTO and Traffic Cell and Police Dept.and concerned Authoriy should look into this kind of serious matter and they should Conficicate such vehicle by taking legal actionas per law and violation of MVR. Police also should take action against those vehicles which are not having Number Plates which are seen moving without fear on Road which is also a serious issue.Thanks.

This is common in Mumbai, you can never tell if the guy is really a cop or not. Therefore, this practice of displaying a police sign board in a private car should be banned even if the person is genuinely a cop. A cop should be in a police vehicle when on duty, when off duty they don't need to flaunt their credentials.
