In this alternate reality where Izuku Midoriya is non-existent, Yhwach, the Emperor of the Wandenreich, faced defeat at the hands of Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, assisted by Chōjirō Sasakibe. Despite the prevailing belief that Yhwach had been sealed away, his heart lay dormant for 900 years, followed by a 90-year period of gradual awareness, and an additional 9 years to fully restore his formidable power. Instead of immediately launching an assault on the Soul Society, Yhwach, displaying strategic patience, opted to wait. Assuming the guise of a small child, he sought to identify and target powerful individuals for his Power Bestowal ability, with the intention of exponentially amplifying his strength through this method.
To everyone's surprise, Yhwach spent 16 years as the child named Izuku Midoriya, adopting the role of a young man aspiring to be a hero. Yhwach specifically chose to play the son of Inko Midoriya, recognizing her ancestral connection to one of the original Quincy. His interest in heroism was piqued by tales of a particular hero, Eraserhead, and his ability to nullify other powers. Intrigued, Yhwach took on the challenge of embodying a hero's spirit. Eventually, deeming this prolonged charade a diversion, he concluded that he had wasted enough time in this existence. Returning to his original form, Yhwach initiated his assault on the Soul Society.
