If you want giant, take a gander at the Mi-12 that they tested. Two 5 bladed 114 ft/35 m rotors in a side by side configuration, fuselage like an airliner, that bad boy would have been amazing if they had ever built more than two. This Mi-26 has a 105 ft/32 m main rotor, so imagine two 114 ft/35 m rotors, that's big. What is it with Russians and having to have the biggest? You think they have a size complex? We know they have a competitiveness issue, that's what bankrupted the Soviet Union. Competitiveness is ok if you have tons of money coming out your aft compartment, but if your country is going broke, well it's not such a good thing.
