Preparation:
Clear - select ALL partitions (except OTG) and confirm. After completion, reboot into recovery.
If before this you were using custom firmware (NAKE Android, not MIUI), then also Cleanup - Format Data - write YES with your pens! And reboot again into Recovery! and check the file system of the Cache and Data partitions and make sure/change to ext4.
It is necessary to expand the system partition to 5GB! Attached fileMi8-ExpandSystem5GB.zip (280.53 KB)
To do this, flash the Mi8-ExpandSystem5GB.zip file, auto-reload into recovery should work, but if this does not happen, then manually reboot again into Recovery, go to the Cleaning section and again select ALL partitions (except OTG) and confirm. After completion, reboot into recovery.
!!!ATTENTION!!! If you ignore cleaning after expanding the system partition, your device will become what is called HARDBRICK!
Then you can flash the archive with firmware and Magisk to your liking.
Clearing cache & dalvik and then rebooting into the system.
