Best is a word to be analysed from different angles. If you want the best engine and gearbox then skoda/Volkswagen will be the ones on top. But they are high on maintenance with no diesel. If you want best on gadgets then Koreans like hyundai or kia are the ones. If you look for safety then mahindra and Tata are the ones. Safety and performance oriented cars are heavy and fuel thirsty. Maruti can be considered if mileage and maintenance are the only factors.
