仕林河 Slim River 是馬來西亞霹靂州 Mualim 縣的一个城鎮，經濟以農業為主，出產很多河鮮。
仕林河的名稱来自于當地的一條河流，而在被殖民以前开埠時期則稱為“宋坡”（Sempa）
Slim River is a town in Mualim District, Perak, Malaysia. Its economy is mainly based on agriculture and it produces a lot of fresh water fishes.
The name of Slim River comes from a local river, it was called "Sempa" during the period before British colonization.
Shot in June 2023 and January 2024. Color graded to own taste using a powergrade as base, DaVinci Resolve 18.

Hulu Selangor District has many similar small towns such as Kuala Kubu Bharu, Rasa, Hulu Yam Bharu/Lama etc... Can consider exploring & promoting these locations as well hehe Nice video once again~ hope you can continue using Cantonese in all your future narrations, as Cantonese just feels right for these types of videos tho Keep up the good work 👍✌️

I must confess I have not visited Slim River, my thought of the comment above was inspired solely by the video. I am a Singapore urbanite who has not really experienced country life, although I had retired in Leisure Farm Resort ,Johor for a number of years, but now in Australia. The closest experience was a short stay in one of the Singapore Water Works in Johor umpteen years ago. I certainly will visit Slim River in my next trip to MY. I am attracted by the histories of New Villages, a legacy of the Malayan Emergency.

I am born and raised in Kampar while my wife is from Taiping. My father is from Sitiawan. There’s still many small town in Perak and other states yet to be uncovered and introduced to many.

Love the calm and overall vibe in the videos introducing the town from the interviews, showing the scenery, food, local history, food etc. Suggest to come back to make a follow up video on the towns with updates and probably more in-depth coverages.

Sitiwan is such an interesting place, and we love Taiping very much for its calming nature, Kampar used to be good for traditional food but many are already hard to find. Given time, we would also like to dig more from the towns we had visited

从吉隆坡南北大道北上其他州,仕林河总是一个标点；从吉隆坡出发经过此处,意即已经过了一个小时的车程。。回程经过此处,意即还有一个钟头就到家了。。。

Slim River was named after a Captain Slim of the 19th Century. Wikipedia refers.

We normally will also refer to Wikipedia, but somehow the information is not too accurate, just for reference purpose is fine. Like our teluk Intan video, Chinese and English wikipedia gave us different definitions of the size of the town, some audience find it hard to accept when we picked one and not the other, citing inaccurate info 😅
