Creating the map with MI Robot vacuum mop p - I ran it with an edge cleaning mode - that helps it to quickly create the map of your house. It is able to differentiate one room from the other fairly easily. And it will automatically divide the space into multiple zones or rooms.
Merge or divide zones with MI Robot vacuum mop P - Next - if you don’t like the zones it has created, you can easily merge zones into a single zone OR break up a zone into multiple zones. You can also rename the zones as you like.
Cleaning by rooms or cleaning area in MI Robot vacuum mop P - Next is the ability to clean each area separately. Either a specific zone / room OR let’s say you have dropped something in a particular area - you can only clean that area.
Schedule rooms in MI Robot Vacuum Mop P - Next I like the ability to schedule different areas at different times of day. For example - I like to clean the kitchen and living/dining before I wake up. For this schedule, you can select the suction mode also.
Setting up no go areas and restricted areas in MI Robot Vacuum Mop P - There may be some areas you don’t want it to go. For example - while it does detect bathroom doors, if the door is open, it could go inside. So these areas can be set as no-go areas so you don’t have to run each time to close the doors if they are open. Other areas could be furniture that the robot thinks it can go under (and can go under) but it does get a bit stuck. For example, that happens under my shoe rack - which is just about 4 inches. There are two ways to go about this - setting a virtual wall - which will just block the robot from going beyond a particular area or a restricted area which only blocks a particular area but can go around it.
Recharge and resume - if battery goes low - less than 10% I believe, it automatically goes back to the dock and recharges and starts back from where it had stopped. On the map, it will show you areas cleaned and not cleaned in this particular run.
Selecting a suction power in MI Robot vacuum mop p - amongst (silent, standard, medium, turbo). I’ve found standard works really well on a regular basis and that’s what I use. Remember - Higher the suction power, lower the run time.
Selecting Mopping mode - Selecting mopping mode (S - low battery consumption and lesser time vs Y - higher battery and higher cleaning time).
What I don’t like about the MI Robot Vacuum Mop P intelligent features:
MI Robot vacuum mop p starts recreating the map - It happened to me once during the time I have this product that the robot suddenly becomes disoriented and does not know where it is. It keeps trying to look for the dock and starts remapping again!
Setting / turn off Voice alerts in MI Robot vacuum mop P- The voice alerts are so loud - thankfully you can adjust the volume or turn it off altogether in the app.
