The new S&C Coaches are teaching the basic fundamental pulling position by introducing clean pulls. After hat is mastered they player can proceed onward to learn the power and squat or split clean if needed. The kids look like incoming freshmen or younger players. The bench pressing looks like higher reps to develop muscular endurance and to toughen up the players for heavier loads in the future.

Realize this [Al Golden HC history vs Mark Richt HC history]: Al Goldens' first and only Head Coaching job before he came to UM in 2011 was at 'Temple', which was at that time in the 'MAC' [Middle American Conference]. Golden coached there for only 4 years. Now... I can easily imagine [a GREAT Possibility] that, when Golden looked at UM's ['ACC' Conference] football schedule a few days after he got here, he was sort of scared/intimidated after seeing it. I can see him now thinking in his mind while looking at that schedule ''Dang!... AT Maryland [BIG to him att], AT VT, AT N. CAROLINA, AT FSU, and THEN OHIO ST, KANSAS ST and GT at home!... WHEW!... i don't know if i can Hack that. I've never Head Coached a team through THAT level of a schedule before''... etc, etc. Yep... I'm quite sure Golden had his very serious doubts and fears when he first got here [Probably wondered if he was in over his head a few times] about playing such a schedule. He was looking UP at that schedule. IOW's: If HE had some serious Fears and doubts on whether or not he could survive the typical 'ACC' Conference Schedule [because again... he'd never Head Coached a team through that level of a schedule. He only Head Coached a team through the typical 'MAC' schedule]... then that doubt and fear will somehow in many ways eventually/gradually trinkle down into the team... they'll eventually have serious doubts and fears as well. NOW... on the other hand, we have Mark Richt- For the past 15 years, this guy has been Head Coaching HIS teams through the typical 'SEC' schedule every year, which is supposedly much tougher than your average 'ACC' schedules. Therefore, he isn't going to be Intimidated.... not by one bit, of the ACC schedule. Heck, after seeing the 2016 season schedule, he might've even chuckled a little bit [compared to the schedules he's been used to seeing] saying to himself ''Dude... this is going to be easier''. Therefore, he's looking DOWN on the 'ACC' schedule [FULL of Confidence with no Doubts], instead of looking UP at it as Golden was, with deep doubts and fear. That Confidence and Strong Optimism from Mark... should eventually and gradually trinkle down onto/into the team. Also, the kids will have more Confidence [deep in their minds and hearts] in what a former winning 'SEC' level Coach is teaching them, compared to what a former 'MAC' and 'Temple' Coach was teaching them. -------------------------------------------- One more observation- Recruiting: U of Georgia is Surrounded by very well respected CFB Programs [Tenn, Miss St, Miss, Bama, AUB, Ark, UF, FSU, the Texas programs, the Oklahoma programs... etc, etc, etc]... this man had to compete up there in recruiting vs all of these programs for the past 15 years, and yet STILL managed to finish top 15 in recruiting every year. UM on the other hand, ISN'T surrounded. The closest Major threat is UF which is in GVILLE.... 330+ Miles away, and FSU in Tally... 480+ Miles away. If he did that well in recruiting up there amongst all of that competition, then imagine what he should be able to do down here... not surrounded. His job/responsibility of recruiting should be much easier for him as well [compared to his former employment]. The State of Fla [South Fl in Particular] has more talent than the State of Georgia, that should enable him to do down here, what he couldn't eventually do at UGA [play for and win that NT]. -------------------------------------------- Mark Richt is going to build an 'SEC' Conference level team out of Miami.... ''Mark'' my words. That video above is a fine example... and is just the start. Canes fans should be very excited... Get Ready to Finally start Dominating the 'ACC'... and beyond.
