Miami's Supertall Skyscrapers
If you've ever been to Miami over the years, you would definitely have noticed that the buildings are becoming higher, and the skyline is expanding. Since the FAA eased its height limitations more than six years ago, Miami's skyline has continued to rise with gleaming glass and light designs.

I’ve been on top of about half a dozen of the skyscrapers in Miami. It’s a beautiful view but at the same time I hate heights and I hated being up there lol I’m a land surveyor and this was back in the 2000s when all the cell phone companies were building cell towers everywhere. In major cities instead of building towers in the middle of the city what they’ll do is they’ll just put antennas on top of the skyscrapers but by law you still need to have the area surveyed . Each survey on top of these buildings would take about half a day. Miami is probably my favorite city to visit in America.

mm, I disagree. It looks like a bunch of boxes on top of each other. Would have preferred something else but just my opinion

@@INeedJesus4sure Respect to your opinion and yeah its sure just simple boxes stacked over but in reality it is pretty hard to build this design.

FYI - "Brickell" is pronounced as if it were spelled, "Brickle". The emphasis is on the "Brick"; not the "ell".

7:20 FYI Skyrise Miami was just cancelled. It was one of the favorite projects but the developer held onto the land and never built the observation tower. It's not going to be built but hopefully the concept can return!

I've seen that happen and then another developer takes over withing a few months or less. So never say never especially in Miami.alot of determined people there and loads of dirty money to go around.

Good news Waldolf Astoria Miami 100 stories 1,150ft tall is breaking ground in 2 weeks "October 27 2022" is the date. There has already been site preparation for months and 90% on the units are already sold out. Completion is scheduled foe 2025 but topping off will likely be in 2024. Sounds like a long time but that's only 3 years to open and 2 years to be topped off.
