I finally get the true meaning of this song, it's kinda like he's telling this boy he wants to settle down and be with him, but then he realizes he doesn't, he's a lost boy, not ready to be found and not ready to be in a relationship like that, so he tells him someone could love him more, someone who is ready to settle down....

I always thought it said 'and I'm ready to be found' and I never understood it but omg now it's like I just got punched in the stomach

Because I feel like I should want a boyfriend or whatever, and I convince myself that I do want that attention and affection. But when I get it, it always kinda weirds me out and I push them away. It's not that I don't think I deserve compliments or that I think I'm unworthy of love, it's just so much responsibility and energy that goes into having a relationship. Being responsible for someone else's feelings, and being able to possibly hurt them by not being there is a scary, stressful feeling and I just can't handle it. I'm a really independent person and others depending on me scares me. I feel like I'll always run away from such a big responsibility...

This song aches my heart. There is this girl (I'm a girl btw) and she confessed to me. We started dating. At first, I thought I liked her back. But I realize I didn't. I told her my true feelings and broke up with her in good terms. We're still friends, but she's doing everything she can to get back with me. She asks me to go with her to school dances as a date, and she asks me to go places with her as a date. It kills me to know that she still likes me, but I don't have feelings for her and only see her as a friend. Since I have gym with her, we normally talk about Voltron and Percy Jackson stuff( we're in that fandom), but then she she'd change the subject about dating and going to a school dance with her and I'd always have to decline, telling her that I don't want to go or that I just don't see her that way.
