This is from the DVD "Nelson Sullivan's Club Kids Party" and is a first-person account of one of the best outlaw parties of the 1980s (outlaw party: a semi-spontaneous event where the invited guests would descend on a public space to party). nah, they're throwing a Renegade at a Mcdonald's (after hours), its not the location but the party. Renegades/Outlaws are "illegal" raves, pretty much a party thrown at a location without any sort of authorization, paper work, etc. I remember going to one at a Chucky Cheese

***** I was just about the right age (would have been 22 for this) but the wrong coast and the wrong temperament. I'm not getting what was fun about this--it's like being in a really crowded McDonalds, though some of the people are dressed up. I get that anywhere can be fun (I've had some great times at Denny's at 3AM with a bunch of my favorite people), but I'm not getting what Michael Alig was bringing to this that going to McD's with your friends couldn't.

While not quite as extravagant or loud, I've done stuff like this several times with friends and family and my husband at Walmart. We had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie party day and came in with TMNT outfits to get food n such and there were about 10 of us and we were laughing and yelling and walking all over. People started joining in our discussion and we ended up having 23 people in a circle party! :)
