Ryan Whitney can kiss a dead moose’s butt. We have Michael Buble. All he has to do is have a mushroom party for all the Oilers’ players and we’ve got the series.

I like Biz but Whitneys anti-Canucks stuff is hard to listen to. I can say this - it would be sooooo sweet to beat Edmonton and then go on to win the cup. It would also make 19/20 ESPN panalists eat their hat. Its UNREAL that so many people think the oilers will simply trounce the Canucks

I met Buble about 15 years ago at his place downtown. That guy swears like a trucker! But he was a friendly dude and tells stories in a funny way. He told myself and another tenant his experience at a charity golf event in Las Vegas. They insisted he participate despite repeatedly telling the organizers he sucked at golf. Once there and warming up with some drives off the tee, he was approached by one of organizers who confirmed his assertions re the calibre of his golf skills. I'm not sure in the intervening years if Michael has improved his game, but that was a cool day.

I was also born in Burnaby and have always been pretty proud of Buble and Burnaby Joe Sakic being from Burnaby and that stars like Buble and Ryan Reynolds are big Canucks fans. On another proud note very happy 2 of the best young hockey players Bedard and Celebrini are from Vancouver and really hoping one days they'll play for the Canucks! Canucks in 7

Michael's charm is that he is so down-to-earth - so Canadian, so urban BC, so Burnaby. When we saw him in a local restaurant, he was so great with the fans who approached him. We admired from afar being the typical Canadians that we were. Plus his kids go to public school, which is just awesome.

I met Michael years ago. It was at my friends house in Burnaby. We were watching a Canuck's game while Michael's sister and baby were hanging out at the house. Michael showed up and hung out with us. It was before his career took off. He is exactly as he shows in this interview. Super nice guy, humble, and gives you the vibe he's always been your friend. When he got his contract for his first Vegas show he rented a hall in Burnaby and invited all of his friends, family, and friends of his family to a free show. We got to see his Vegas show before anyone. It was spectacular. Great ambassador for the Canucks, and Canada for that matter.

Wow! Bainbridge/Lougheed area. I lived in that area for 5 years from 04 to 09. As a matter of fact, there's a liquor store at that corner, and i met Cliff Ronning there and said, "Hey! You're Cliff Ronning!" Ronning : I'm not him. Me : O yes you are. I grabbed some Kokanee and a few minutes later saw him getting into his car which was parked next to mine. It was the first round of the playoffs in 06 i think and i asked him who he liked. He said he liked Edmonton. Oilers had Pronger that year and i think they went to the finals. So Cliff knew his stuff. Sadly for the Oil, Pronger slept with a Edmonton based TV sports reporter, his wife found out, and gave Chris an ultimatum that resulted in his departure to Anaheim in the off season. The Ducks won the Cup that 07 year, and Oilers Nation never forgave that reporter. She still works in TV but not in Alberta. She has since switched out of the sports department.

@donmackie608627 күн бұрын
Lol. That drink is lame. Way cheaper to get no name club soda and add whatever pieces of fruit you want. But I don't think he'll be homeless if that carbonated water brand disappears. I heard from a reliable source that the period he spent doing shows in Vegas, he was making $3M a month. That's some large cheddar.

I think lately the refs are trying to decide the game rather than manage it. Especially if you’re the favourite, you’ll get penalized more often. Tough job, but should be accurate. Shouldn’t be owed a penalty at the refs convenience.
