Sad thing is this was micks 2nd time at the Olympics i think the reason why he didnt turn pro was so he could win a gold medal

Conlan clearly won round 1, the russian missing by just a fraction with everything he was throwing, round 2 looked a little closer to me, but again conlan landed the bigger shots, and more shots, even got a littke wobble from the russian. round 3 conlan throws a lot more shots than the russian, but up close hes hitting gloves, the russian was landing the few shots he threw pretty clean. Rd1 and rd2 clearly for conlan. Rd3 was close. I'd say conlans but wouldn't complain either way. This was definitely corruption. Theres just no way someone who boxes would say conlan lost that first round. I hate Olympic boxing. This was a robbery. Not quite as bad as the roy jones one..... but its as bad as when mayweather was robbed. Boxing should be taken from the Olympics if they wont fairly judge it.

Was going to say the same, roy jones was robbed far worse. But nobody who loves this sport and knows what they are looking at would say conlan lost this. Amature boxing is very corrupt.

I don't think she knows people want to watch the fighters and not her. Her constant warnings for no reason and all the time outs were ridiculous.

Was it actually that big robbery?? I had 1,2 Conlan but for me it looks like a fair judge Nikita’s precision and quality of punch seemed better on 3rd round

If you know boxing then please teach me how many clean shot has Conlan landed on 3rd I might be totally wrong but it looks like he is just going foward and many of the punches, mostly last half of the 3rd, was on top of the blocking.

Sorry but conlan clearly lost that fight, round one every punch was blocked or missed wildly, best most clean shots by nikitin, 2nd round conlan and third was Nikitin, conlan barely landed a clean shot, and everyone he did was reciprocated, while nikitin was hitting conlan then conlan would miss wildly or just hit the guard, no way did he win that fight

Haha you really want it to look like conlan didn’t win. Maybe you are an Englishman gleefully happy the Irish got shafted. If you now anything about amateur boxing you know conlan won 1-2 clearly l, the third is a give or take. That Nikitin won this is corruption and the reason boxing is getting thrown out of the Olympics.

@@gabrielsteffensen3700 Watch one amateur fight when the number of punches was displayed to understand how points are counted in amateur boxing. No one counts slaps, clinch punches, weak jabs and other garbage. Only clean, good hits count. In the third round, the score on strikes was 10-1 in favor of Nikitin, it was a complete annihilation.

@@jimkorbett6182 this is correct. It was an optical illusion. Conlan LOOKED like he was doing really well but Nikitin had a really good defence and much cleaner shots.

Conlan threw 365 shots, Nikitin threw 257. Conlan landed 89 (24.4%), while Nikitin landed 75 (29.2%). Not only did Michael Conlan land 14 more shots, Conlan also threw and landed more power shots throughout the match, with 82 of 275 (29.8%) non-jabs landing compared to Nikitin's 71 of 231 (30.7%) Michael Conlan schooled Vladimir every round, landing and throwing more. People like you is what is wrong with boxing today, blindly taking the judges scores at face value and rarely looking at the actual offense and skill output in the fights.

@@u4ea70 Conlan landed more than Nikitin, each round he landed more than the last, his lowest-scoring round still above Vladimir Nikitin. This was an incredible robbery
