Thanks for making the full interview available! Hopefully this will get out to many of those who have heard the abridged version, so they'll be able to see that it wasn't a case of Michael D never letting Michael Graham get a single word in. Both had input. Michael D's input simply had facts and experience behind it whereas Michael Graham's had neither.

Slanté President Higgins... I am appalled by the behavior of Mr. Graham and his lack of forethought or even any understanding of what was going on during that initial conflict between Israel and Gaza Strip after the withdraw. That is why I have avoided voting with the Republican Party, it is the influence of the Tea Party. There are very few moderate Republicans in the party, similar to the late Senator Mark O. Hatfield of Oregon. Now my Irish Temper has flared up!!!

I think that purely from a debating standpoint George Hook was terrible. Michael D just shouted and ranted. I'd say he spoke 75% of the time and completely avoided the questions. It was more of a speech than a debate. He is a clever politician. In the Presidential Election he got very soft treatment from the media. He was probably the best candidate but the media gave him a pass. He is passionate and erudite but "anger isn't a policy".

Still, its hard to disagree with what he said.

Gazza T. No punctuation, bad grammar, poor spelling, topped off with personal abuse. What a charmer you must be ! Did you hero Michael D. school you in debate ? You completely ignored my points and went with personal abuse. I assume the "donuts" comments are based on my avatar. A person of such high principles and morals as you undoubtably are should proudly display a your picture and your true name. You don't people to confuse you with those vacuous trolls who merely rant and abuse people behind the cloak of anonymity ,do you ? Perhaps you took your name from the luminary Paul Gascoigne, could it be be inspired by the Gaza strip in Palestine? Perhaps your liberal views extend to spelling also, you do have form in this area. If you are the son of Mr. T I apologise. To paraphrase the great man "Pity the fool" and accept my apologies. I await with bated breath your charming and intelligent reply.
@rickgrimes52339 жыл бұрын
Derry Murphy You know, you're only the 2nd person who got the Rick Grimes thing? Regarding the debate, Michael Graham is spouting the same fact-ignoring stuff peddled by the US Tea Party. Yes, Palestinian rebels/terrorists fire rockets into Israel but the scale of the suffering endured by both groups isn't equal. Innocent Palestinians have it a lot worse yet no Republican will say anything to reprimand Israeli actions in the region. Regarding their opinion of Obama, its ridiculous. Sure he's not a perfect President but he's nowhere near as bad as they claim. It wouldn't have been too hard for Michael D to win this debate (with intelligence & facts on his side) even if he hadn't talked over Graham. I do also have to say that it was nice to hear George Hook stfu for once.
@DerryMurphy9 жыл бұрын

While not a fan of the tea party movement. the reaction of many to this debate is quite silly. Michael D came across as cantankerous throughout and didn't seem able to debate Michael Graham. Resorting to insults in a political debate, as the president did, is a sure sign that your argument lacks substance. Michael Graham hit the nail on the head when he said that ''Personally I found Deputy Higgins weak logic and unwillingness to acknowledge facts far more bothersome than the name calling''.
@GAELMIC7 жыл бұрын
Michael D. is so ignorant in this "discussion". He keeps talking over the conversation, keeps interrupting.
@mickeyh19619 жыл бұрын
What an intolerant and arrogant man Higgins is, he never allowed Michael Graham make one complete sentence without interrupting him and imposing his Far left Socialist point of view, In the end It became a Lecture by Higgins and a rant, he seemed incapable of accepting the fact that Hamas had a case to answer to regards their rocket attacks on Israel and its people both Arab and Jew by the way who were possible targets casualties of same. Hindsight has proven Michael Graham to be correct when we see the amount of rockets fired at Israel since by Hamas disregarding the safety welfare of their own people knowing the Israeli response to follow. Higgins is anything but liberal or tolerant unless that is you happen to agree with his warped version of events and socialist policies.

+mickeyh1961 I don't disagree but I can't help but wonder if you judge Israel just as loudly when they bomb civilians.
@mickeyh19618 жыл бұрын
p. regan Any bombing of Civilians by Israel is always retaliatory ; that is in response to Hamas rockets which are fired INDISCRIMINATELY into Israel on a regular basis, with little or no concern for whom they might kill be they Jew or Arab and equally little concern for The retaliatory response from Israel to Gaza , knowing full well that civilians will be among the casualties, might I suggest you focus your concern for civilian death where they rightly belong with those whom are completely responsible ie; Hamas and its supporters.
@pregan-tk9ck8 жыл бұрын
mickeyh1961 Great to see that you judge both sides fair and don't come down hard one one side while struggle to make up excuses for the other. On the other hand, if you did that, it would be really transparent and obvious.
@mickeyh19618 жыл бұрын
p. regan Only answering a comment you made regards Israeli " bombing of civilians ". You on the other had are guilty of what you accuse me of being, One sided, I have explained why Israel bombed Gaza ( I assume that is what you are referring to when you talk about the Bombing of Civilians). There is clearly an aggressor here and a respondent to such aggression. How that can be one side is beyond me, only explaining the obvious facts thats all, but then again you might not like to see it from this perspective rather the usual biased Western media perspective.
