That's an Italian thing. I'll cool as a cucumber but once my Sicilian blood starts boiling, look out ... Guys to be afraid of (I'm not one of em) are the ones that don't say they're gonna come get you. They don't talk, they just do ... Michael is one of those guys.

@@seansense I'd bet all my marbles those guys weren't around much longer after that. If someone did that to my sister I would 100% have a serious decision on my hands, and I'm an average Joe. I don't think it matters that I'm Sicilian (American), I think a lot of people would think that way. But someone like Michael? Probably would wow us how he handled it. And your little dog theory is perfect. Being loud is usually a defense mechanism the weak use to scare off potential threats. The strong don't need to use it.

He knows the law is really pissed that he's the only one they couldn't put him away for life like the rest! One incriminating statement and they would put the cuffs on! His dad schooled him well! Also the reason the mob didn't put a hit on him is he never informed on any of them! I really admire his work in trying to turn kids away from crime! He has really turned his life around. I think he never would've gotten into the life, if it wasn't for his father.

I stopped at this channel because I saw that the subject was Mob related. As a child I listened to my grandparents and my mom whisper stories about the Mob on our street and the atrocities they had committed. These stories never were repeated outside our home. This is the second interview on this channel with Michael Franzese that I am listening too. I decided to subscribe. Mr. Franzese’ style is smooth he tells much without giving away the farm! Bravo !

I always find myself doubting a lot of the dudes that Vlad interviews.. I Feel like most times they talk themselves up for a better interview.. With that being said if you’ve watched other Michael Franzese interviews he doesn’t do that tho and his story never changes... He only answers on things he knows or has heard personally, he doesn’t dry snitch on anybody and when he gives his opinion on something (that may go against your own) he seems to be respectful and open minded.. If you a real one it don’t take long realize he ain’t selling wolf tickets 💯!!

This guy has to be in a movie of some sort. He could play the part of a mob boss FLAWLESSLY. I’ve said this before, they need to do a movie on the heads of the five families of New York, specifically in the 70s and 80s. The height of their power was in the 70s and they were brought down in the 80s so it was a very interesting and polarizing time for cosa nostra.

Franzese operated I’m my sphere of business...he took a lot of money out of the pockets of legit businesses who had to compete with his network.....but when the smoke cleared, he emerged a compelling speaker with a steady handle. His stories ring true. His history is consistent; he never trips over his narrative. There are some questions he politely sidesteps. He s doesn’t pander to dweebie interviewers who think it makes them cool talking to a real gangster. He s become a good cultural historian .........who might have a very very big lumpy mattress

The things this Man has seen and been through could be a real life horror movie, with some light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. He comes across as raw but real and respectfully intense , if that makes sense. Old timers like him are still alive because they are smart and loyal, without loyalty you cant be a man of your word and you wouldnt be here to speak. It just goes to show why this man is still standing, regardless of the negative persona he has, he was still someones father , husband, brother, son and so on and im sure he is leading a somewhat normal and positive life now. He comes across as strong but firm and fair, smart, respectful and honest but can be brutal if he has to be!

michael chiappetta I’m dead serious. I’m sure she had a lot of stories, but would never share a word. She had a code. She worked at Greenpoint Casket company for many years and surely had many stories to tell from there as well. She fed many a gangster at her home as well.. But if you’d ask her anything she’d just smile and say “ohh of course, I know things”.. but she’d just turn around and go back to her cooking. My dad (her son) also worked at a well known club in Williamsburg with these guys. But he too won’t speak much of it. I’m actually visiting with him as I type.. he’s dying of cancer 😔. We’ve been talking about the old days in Brooklyn and some of the guys he used to run with, but he’s too medicated to talk too much. He knew Michael back in the day. I don’t know if Michael would remember him or not. Quick story.. I grew up in Queens.. (parents divorced).. One day in the mid 80’s my best friend’s boyfriend showed up at my door threatening me with a gun (looking for her)...I wasn’t worried, but my mother let Dad know something guy threatened me with a gun.. Well... within 2 hours, my dad and 3 or 4 carloads of wise guys in Cadillacs show up to my house, pick me up and ask me where to find the guy. I’m like... “I don’t know”.. Dad looks at me like “yeah right”.. Well, off we go to the local schoolyard where this guy was with about 25-30 of his friends. Dad and his friends were clearly outnumbered and I was terrified. Dad and ONE GUY... got out, walked straight through the crowd.... found “Richie”... I never found out what was said or done that evening, but I can tell you this- “Richie” showed up at my house a week later and apologized to my mother and I ... and my neighborhood treated me with a whole new level of respect 😂😂 NO ONE EVER as much as blinked at me wrong again. The end ☺️
