Michael Healy-Rae calls for the army to battle the rhododendrons in Killarney National Park

In particular, the chronic rhododendron problem is something Healy-Rae wanted urgently addressed.

I've watched it 4 times so far. Only 96 more to go. Yes, it's civilisation and democracy, and also very nice because of the respect and humour. It's soothing compared to lots of other politics out there these days.

It is indeed. I confess to having watched the little snippet on the BBC website, which led me here, at least 20 times, without exaggeration. Mr Healy-Rae is new to me but already a hero.
