Watching Mikey bowl was poetry in motion,so elegant,any team with them fast bowlers would use them,

West Indies of the late 70's and 80's were amazing. As a Aussie I loved them and beating them was the challenge in cricket. All of them are Legends of the game. Hopefully one day West Indies can pull together another great team. World cricket needs them back at their top.

The M. Holding love of Horse racing and his smooth run up is such a great paralell.

I built my first radio and only one to hear cricket in 1975, in Australia, his first match no wickets, but the spectators, saw talent with the bat he scored 34 runs and people was calling him Rowe, however, after that series where the WI got white wash 5 to 1, things changed, today the WI is so mediocre I erase cricket from my memory, Thanks to Holding, and the real WI players, who took the game seriously, the others players today are so money hungry, and no respect for the game, not to single out anyone, Kraigg Brathwaite, and company are not of cricket Calibre, hogwash players... Thanks again Mike, and company for a well done job. .(WI 6 FEET UNDER THESE DAYS)😢

I WAS LUCKY TO WATCH HOLDING BOWL AT SABINA PARK AGAINST INDIA IN 1978 WHICH WAS NOT SHOWN IN DOCUMENTARY BUT HE DECIMATED INDIAN BATTING WITH SOLE EXCEPTION OF SUNIL GAVASKER.GREATEST SMOOTH BOWLER IN MY OPINION.

Long before WI bowling , my high school days introduced me to the Holdings , my classmate at Calabar boarded with the Holdings on Dunrobin Ave . Michael has an older brother Junior, both went to Kingston College. Great days as a youngster. Passion for horse racing lives in our blood .❤🇯🇲🇯🇲

Mike holding the jamaican Express has similarity with Denzelwashington. Both are living legend in their own field. We could not bowled gavaskar the calypso. Tony cozier the great commentator port of Spain test I was then a college student I still remember Tony on microphone in come holding the jamaican express from the pavillion end bowls to gavaskar whistling past gavaskar next one gavaskar drives dissecting cover for four. Holding I believe was perhaps the greatest fast bowler I have seen in 70s.

I like one thing about the West Indian cricket legends . They don't live in their past . Mikey loves horseracing. Curtley Ambrose is part of a band. They have moved on to the next stage in their life.

Along with Joel ( big bird ) Garner , Michael ( whispering death) Holding was one of my two favourite bowlers.Gosh the mid 1970s & 1980s West Indies cricket team were fantastic from top to bottom. I think we were unbeaten in test series for over ten years.As the windbrush parents were still middle aged their was more of a love and link with our cricket team. I was lucky to see them at lords including 1975 World Cup final and the oval a couple of times . I have read Michael Holding fantastic book about life , why we kneel and how we rise. I believe the book should be studied in Caribbean and African American school and university classes .
