For the first of nine short films for the “Bad” album, Michael Jackson enlists acclaimed filmmaker and director Martin Scorsese and together they create an epic 18-minute tale of urban and racial challenges in the 1980s inspired by the real life story of Edmund Perry. The "Bad" recording is the second of five consecutive No.1 singles from the album making Michael the first artist to achieve this milestone and in 2014 Rolling Stone ranked this short film second on a list of Michael's 20 greatest short films.

It would look uneven if he didn't do anything about it, and the disease is uncureable, so he had to bleach his skin to even it out

@@Plasma_iguess Oh I agree about the skin problem, but I also remember Michael himself saying he 'wanted to be Peter Pan'. The media laughed, thinking he must be kidding. But he bought the ranch, named it Neverland, told everyone he never ever wanted to get old. :/ I think he began to lose touch with reality later in his life. He was so talented but very troubled. His drug use & wild spending was further evidence of that.

@@Plasma_iguess I tend to agree. While I never knew any of them personally, I imagine Joe Jackson was tough to have for a dad.Several of the siblings seemed bizarre too, which adds to that belief. It is a shame, though, that MJ chose a dark path for his life though....those child-abuse allegations were vile. He himself admitted to sleeping in the bed with children that were not his own (!!!), who does that! Even when asked about the charges, he never seemed to 'word for word' deny them....all he would say was "That's ignorant." I would have jumped up & down screaming denials if I was charged with such untrue things. And lastly. paying off victims doesn't make one look innocent either.

The man spent a fortune on his music videos, his music (production quality especially), his stage shows and his innovative ideas. He did it to stand out, to stand above the competitors. He was solidifying his legacy. It wasn't about budgets on music videos it was about QUALITY and having a message. A moral message. Absolute legend. Also a great actor too, very natural.

One of the backup dancer is my friend's Dad and being 12 and a big Michael fan I always used to ask him about Michael and he always told me Michael was such a gentle soul,he treated all the crew members equally with respect,love and compassion and he was quite the jokester actually and also a very hard worker and everyone on the set highly paid attention to each and everything he had to say.He was like a King.
