I mean come on. STOP THE DELUSION... you are GROWN ADULTS. Use the brains our Maker gave you!! [SIDEBAR: His skin disease very likely came from the result of using Bleaching Creams to lighten his skin. When the melanin fights back [as it would/should] it creates blotches. He was warned about this by Latoya circa 1985, but he chose to ignore her and have his bodyguard Miko Brando CONSTANTLY bring him over bottles & bottles of the cream. I do feel insecure about the loss of pigmentation at times, as of right now I don't have it on my face or hands, so my clothes cover the affected areas. It does run in my family , and I've seen people in my family lose 90% of their pigmentation, without skin bleaching ... I don't know how bad it was for Michael , but if he did use bleach to even out the skin I don't blame him

The total hypocrisy of the world we live in. I mean if a man can bleach himself to this, wouldn’t we see more people out in the open in today’s Liberal world changing their skin color? Obviously we have better chemicals and technology now. It was Vitiligo and it’s common in many cultures. Even here in little Maldives we have one movie star who got it and she has changed drastically. Also what’s wrong with Plastic Surgery. These days the clinics are popping up everywhere and every person can go through it and is empowered for their choices but when it’s MJ, he got so bullied. It’s disgusting how these interviews went around his life. One reporter was asking his wife if they have sex? What is that?? My love to your grandpa and tell them there is nothing to be shameful about the condition.
@anlace3447

he had no illness LOL. "Contrary to Michael’s public pronouncements, I had learned directly from him that he did not suffer from vitiligo, a skin disorder that causes depigmentation of the epidermis, resulting in splotchy and uneven skin color over the body and face. “That was a joke." I had learned that years ago, Arnold Klein had done a procedure that resulted in Michael leaving the office well on his way to becoming a white man. At that time I could never be certain exactly what medical procedures Michael had undergone... likely a series of treatments over several years, including a deep phenol peel, an acid wash to erase wrinkles and cause permanent skin lightening by reducing the ability of the skin to produce pigment. Klein had probably also used lasers. A common side effect to acid peels and laser treatments is a waxy, almost unnatural white pallor. Michael had that. It was not vitiligo that purportedly changed Michael’s color. It was purposely acquired. At the time he divulged the story he was also seeking my assistance to help him permanently bleach some remaining areas of incomplete depigmentation that was present on his back and on his legs. It is possible that Klein had already tried to remedy then problem and had given up trying. But Michael was hoping that I'd have the magic bullet to finally clear up the last remaining unsightly dark skin blotches. I introduced him to Benoquin 20%, a permanent bleaching cream to correct those uneven blemished regions of his skin. Patients have to assiduously avoid the sun after acid peels and extensive lasers. Since the phenol peel and laser destroys the top skin layer (Epidermis) and the production of any melanocytes, there was no pigment left; that increased his risk for cancer from sun exposure. Michael avoided the sun at all costs, with someone in his entourage always holding an umbrella over him when he walked in a sunny area, and his trademark of jackets or long sleeve shirts, no matter how hot the weather. Even the gloves and large dark glasses served the same purpose. And he had a cabinet full of 100-block sunscreens. I also know for a fact that at times he was treated with extremely high doses of corticosteroids for skin lightening which had the additional side effect of insomnia, thinning his skin and producing an acquired Addison like syndrome due to the effect of those agents suppressing his adrenal gland function. Nevertheless, Michael’s skin was not perfect all over his body. He had dark spots on his back, and legs. I asked what he was using for treatment. It turned out he was using nothing then. In order to help him rid those spots I started therapy with Benoquin 20%, a depigmentation cream that when used daily for nine months produced permanent lightening results. I was purchasing thousands of dollars of the cream at Rite Aid and Savon pharmacy every couple of weeks for Michael, who wanted to stockpile, he reimbursed me for all of the products but not for the cost of my services. I generally did not charge him for services provided. But shortly after beginning treatment there was a national manufacturer’s shortage. He was panicked that any break in his treatment might mean his darker patches wouldn’t get to be as light as the surrounding skin. So I had Allied Pharmacy start compounding Benoquin 20% cream, since they assured me that they were able to get hold of a large amount of the raw material to make the product. Michael’s idea of perfect complexion was an unnatural porcelain look. Michael’s reverence for Arnold Klein was largely a result of the successful change in his color with use of the Klein-Jackson-Arsenal (KJA). Michael wanted me to know all about how the Klein-Jackson-Arsenal was all staged therapy for a false diagnosis by his dermatologist whom he had made a very rich man for life. "I never had vitiligo" and he told the story. He never had vitiligo and any seemingly appearance of the condition was artificially acquired. Michael underwent a process of depigmentation, and skin bleaching under the care of Arnold Klein. He had used the products for so long to achieve his goal that they were memorized with astonishing details of how each product worked. He said “it was an experiment, I had to know the details, and what if something seriously had happened prematurely to my doctor, I needed to know how to proceed, this is why I wrote everything down in detail, then I memorized it too. I wasn't leaving anything to chance if I could help it” He used various moieties that comprised the secret of the KJA, including high dose glucocorticoids to inhibit corticotrophin releasing hormone (CRH) produced in the hypothalamus, and regulated by negative feedback of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. CRH stimulates the production of Adrenocorticotropic Hormone ACTH, a product of the pro-hormone pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC), which also produces Melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH) that stimulates melanin production, and pigmentation of the skin. Monobenzone (benzyloxyphenol) a topical agent causes excretion of melanin from melanocytes, and melanocyte destruction that results in permanent depigmentation. Mequinol (4-Methoxyphenol) is another topical agent that also causes de-pigmentation of the skin. In Michael's case he used a combination of Mequinol mixed with tretinoin a topical retinoid to permanently bleach the skin by destroying all melanocytes in the basal layer of his epidermis. Using a mixture of 2% Mequinol and 0.01% tretinoin (hydroquinone) as well as Monobenzone (Benoquin 20%) to permanently remove all the skin pigment, a process that involves topical application twice daily, for about four months to one year to obtain complete de-pigmentation. He also had limited laser therapy to some resistant areas. Once he was depigmented he had to protect himself from the sun to avoid damaging sunburn and squamous cell skin cancer, melanoma and peri-follicular pigmented macule. Use of high SPF sunscreen, long sleeves shirts, sunglasses, and gloves became a mandatory source of secondary protection for him."

I still remember the day at school when we talked about vitiligo and I asked if that what Micheal Jackson had, and everyone scorned at me, including the techer saying that ”everyone knows he operated his skin”. This was like 07-08. Today I remeber that moment as personal triumf, I questioned conventional wisdom and was proven right. 🙏👍 Feel sorry for what Micheal had to go through though… 😢❤️

I think both you and your class were right. A white friend of MJ that was a filmmaker said in an interview that one time MJ proudly burst open his shirt to show off his new skin. The friend said when he saw it, he was horrified and told MJ that his doctor should lose his license for doing that to him. The filmmaker said MJ got mad and never spoke to him again. MJ’s family confirmed that he had vitiligo, but that disease leaves white spots and usually doesn’t remove all pigment from the skin. I’ve never seen anyone with that disease lose all of their skin color like MJ and have read that medical procedures can try to restore the pigment or remove it to match the white splotches. It seems like MJ chose the latter.

People wanted healthy-looking tanned skin, not changing their race. So that was a silly point he made. Also, if Michael had vitiligo and only used makeup to even out the color, why did he choose to only cover up his dark colored areas? Why didn't he maintain his true skin color if he wanted so badly like he claimed? Michael Jackson is a great artist. I love his musical legacy. But fans shouldn't blindly idolize him, for he is a disturbed man.

For a megastar who was so concerned with his image and success, why would he let his appearance change so drastically without making a statement on it? @@TripHop- Lmao yeah cause skin cancer is super healthy and normal 😂 People seek UV for vitamin D for sure, what he’s talking about are people who do so just to make their skin look darker, there’s an entire industry around it, with tanning bed parlors, spray tan booths and skin products, all because hundreds of thousands of people are too insecure with not looking “darker” than they are naturally, which is proportionally more absurd/questionable than one man trying to balance the presentation of his complexion, based on the direction his skin disease took. He also never said no one was allowed to question it, just that it was odd the absence of commentary on the industrialization of millions of people obsessed with arbitrarily changing THEIR skin color, by comparison. Just because something is social normalized, doesn’t mean it isn’t questionable or absurd

@@davidtalbot6842 nice mental gymnastics there. When people go overboard with the tanning and look ridiculous, people DO question and scrutinize them. Just like Michael went overboard with whatever he did to make his skin porcelain white. Lol if you think its just "him trying to balance his complexion" due to vitiligo when he has billions to balance his skin literally any color he wants to. Change his hair to straight, get rid of his African nose, but yea he would NEVER purposefully uneedingly make his skin less black lol. He got defensive about people calling out his obvious lie that he never purposefully unneedingly whitened his skin and came up with a nonsensical and illogical analogy to try to defend himself. But yea he would definitely never lie about anything. Since hes never had a childhood and isn't a 'normal' adult, he lies exactly how a lot of children do. Autopsy revealed he has vitiligo (destroys the pigmentation of the skin). Back in thriller, he already has blotches or white patches on his skin. It started spreading in the later years. As of today, there is still no cure for vitiligo but people decided to cover it with foundation / bb cream to even it out (Michael did the same during his performances, music videos etc.) I myself have vitiligo and have a huge white patch on my right cheek and at the back (looks like a continent). I used medication to even out the skin tone but its still visible. I think its very brave of him to speak about it as during that time people have no idea what vitiligo was.

To ALL of you indulgent Jackson fanatics who apparently are devoid of common sense, I have to ask you: SMH 🤦‍♂ Does Vitiligo change your NOSE, LIPS, CHIN, EYES...to look Caucasian. Does it permanently tattoo your lips to be pinkish, & your eyelids ... [YUCK] does it make a supposed straight man use false eyelashes, wigs lipstick too [lol], does it change your SPERM DNA so if you impregnate a white woman [allegedly] your offspring come out looking CAUCASIAN... That is why if you look at him circa 1986 [Captain EO era] you can see the beginning of the lightening of his skin.

The media treated him terribly! (Mike knew the media was garbage...well before most). P.s He was a very kind and gentle man who didn't deserve the (false) allegations or negative stories about him.

Yes. So humble that he had huge portraits painted wearing robes and a crown and spent millions on gold tat to impress fools.
