Here is the reason why Michael will always be better for Jane than Rafael, because Michael values Jane’s happiness above his own. Michael/Jason comes back for the dead and Rafael is screaming at Jane to get a divorce! If the roles were reversed and Michael was Jane’s second choice he would respect her and give her time to figure out how she feels. I started to like Rafael during the 4th season but it seems like the writers have regressed his character development for the sake of drama. Which is disappointing because I would have loved to see a supportive Rafael this season and not one pushing Jane to divorce her husband who is suffering from amnesia.

Thank god there are still jane&michael shippers and vidders. I love, love, love this! Please keep being inspired with these two and keep uploading, beacuse what you do is simply beautiful! Their love was the purest thing I have ever seen. They ruined the show by bringing him back just to affirm her union with Rafael. And Michael would never have given up on her, he was not someone who would have given her up just because Jane had mourned him and it was difficult for her, but she had change of heart before until she realized that Michael was the only one for him. I have come to the conclusion that the problem was not with Rafael, I understood him too. The problem was Jane, she is always confused. If I’d have been at her place, I’d chose Michael over and over (after the first season breakup though because it made me realise how pure his love was). No-one understands her the way he does and no-one even loves the way he does her. And what’s up with her family? It’s like they all suffered from dementia, not him (oh you are back from dead but we have moved on). We need an alternate version of the show in which Michael was the end-game. If he was brought back to life, he also deserved to catch Sin Rostro, it was supposed to be his glory that was stolen off by the writers. I felt extremely bad for his character writing at the end. He suffered for 4 years just to get someone he didn’t even love? It was his fairytale, his glory. I need an alternate ending episode where he joins the police force back and kills Sin Rostro in some insane combat action. If it wasn’t for Sin Rostro, he would have had her perfect fairytale and they should kill Rafael off at the end battle because it is still very confusing forJane and I don’t want him to see in pain either again seeing Jane with Michael) and then Michael and Jane can have their well deserved happily ever after.

They just brought him back so Jane would choose Rafael over Michael, which is so unfair. Michael was Jane’s first love, they will always have a connection, and she will always have unconditional love for him, he was not only her husband but her best friend as well. No matter the circumstances they would stay in each others lives, especially since he got his memory back. They never should’ve brought him back, because even if Michael is gone and Jane picks Rafael it doesn’t mean she loves Rafael any less, she just loves him differently, because he’s a different person to her and every love is different. Rafael is also the father of Jane’s child, which gives him an additional advantage. But they brought him back just to tarnish his memory, and Matteo didn’t even remember him, remember the guy that would’ve been his stepdad and loved him like his own son. I know it’s a telenovela, but I’m actually pretty mad they brought Michael back to life, they should’ve left him dead and not ruined the memory of him, it’s better than him being here and losing his purpose in life almost. His purpose was Jane, he started a life with her and the next second boom, it’s all gone, and there’s not any hope of getting it back. The woman he loved, the family he almost had, gone in an instant. It’s hard to move on from death, it was hard for Jane to move on from that, but in a way it’s the same for Michael, because his old life is forever gone.

I don't care that Raf is end game. He will never have what Jane and Michael had together. It ripped my heart out that their story ended. Even after they tried to end him and make Raf end they had more symetry and chemistry.

Ugh, how dare you make me ugly cry like this with this beautiful vid?! I had gotten to a point of mostly annoyance with this plot line , and now I’ve watched this and have been bulldozed by my own sad shipper feelings. I can’t believe I finally got on board with Jafael and then this happened. This makes me so sad 😭 this makes 5.01 all the more bitter (bittersweet?) seeing all their history that’s now been erased from Michael’s mind.

I find it sorta annoying how Rafael deals with problems - ignores Jane until she gives in a says that she is choosing him. I just feel he doesn't want Jane to be happy in general he just wants her to be happy with him instead if with Michael. I don't dislike Rafael as a character but I don't like Jane and Rafael's relationship.
