I examine what role the 1984 USA Basketball Exhibition versus NBA All-Stars played in the alleged freeze-out of Michael Jordan during the 1985 NBA All-Star Game.

Don’t forget Bob Knight was Isiah’s former coach and he said Jordan was the greatest he’s ever seen, which must have further fuelled Isiah’s jealousy.

Thomas is still sore over that until today. And it’s totally unheard of to have a rookie dominate the best players in the world in a series!

This was a great great video. Everyone tries to examine the freeze out, this clearly was the real reason. By 92' the college kids could play but they were in awe of the dream team. In 84' the college kids completely destroyed the NBA players, interesting.

I've watched that 85 all star game numerous times,& i didn't see a freeze out.Mike got his touches & Isiah fed him the ball quite a few times!...In this video it's great to see how great MJ was! Magic,Larry,& Isiah on the same team & he beat them as a rookie

When they are not as good as you and when they know they cant guard you or beat you...they start fouling you and start to play dirty! Michael Jordan was already the best in the world. That's why i don't respect those 1989 and 1990 so called Champion Detroit Pistons teams. There is playing hard tough real man defense at the pro level but there is something else that is totally different when you start fouling on purpose to hurt the guy on the other team just because they are better than you. That is what those Bad Boy Detroit Pistons were. Im glad Thomas was left off of the Dream Team!

Of course there was a "freeze out" initiated by Thomas and supported by Johnson and the rest. The plot twist occurs after the playoffs when Johnson and Thomas have a fall out and Ervin befriended Jordan and told him that it was Zeke's plan all along to freeze him out thus the "Big Payback" after MJ took over and became the face of the NBA and basically told them that " if Isaiah plays on the Dream Team then I'm not playing." This is the reason they picked Laetner, and to add further injury to insult Jordan knew Christian was from his Alma Mater and never played one game in the NBA. I know Jordan and Magic concocted that one as a way to get under Thomas' skin.

That is obvious Mr Isiah Thomas involved and also was the one who created (FREEZE OUT ) and paid the price because I was watching the Documentry called THE LAST DANCE , Isiah Thomas never forget his disqualified of member of the Dream Team not only him also Magic Johnson and George Gervin all they were jealous this young rising star and all they were involved because of the attention and Jordan never give up what he did to NBA as well as his best career l

I don’t believe this proves resentment on Isaiah Thomas’ part. Jordan destroyed all of them during those scrimmage games: Magic, Isaiah, Bird, etc. I’d have to view the ‘85 Allstar game again to determine if Isaiah was purposefully freezing out Jordan. Remember...Isaiah was the starting point guard for the East and Jordan wasn’t the only star on that team Isaiah would have to get the ball 🏀 to. Also, what purpose would Isaiah have to conspire with Magic 🤷🏽‍♂️ when Magic played for the West? In addition, I don’t buy this jealousy over Jordan becoming beloved to Chicago argument. He was just as beloved in Detroit. So why would he begrudge Jordan for it when he doesn’t even play for that team 🤷🏽‍♂️?

Check this out.....www.freep.com/story/sports/nba/pistons/2020/05/05/michael-jordan-isiah-thomas-the-last-dance-detroit-pistons/3085621001/ For me, I don't think both hated each other outside the sport. Most likely it was the media's responsibility for making it bigger than it seems to create a fiasco, both understood their roles and admire each others skill set.

IT was just mad cause MJ was better than him and thats why when the bad Boy Pistons came alone they beat the Bulls from 1987 to 1990 so by 91 IT said don't shake the Bulls hands after the game cause they were swept and he got mad that Michael Jordan ended the Pistons championship dynasty by that time the Pistons legs were old and Jordan and the Bulls came of age and start getting better in the long run the Pistons made the Bulls compete and MJ just wanted to be on the same floor and spot light as the other All stars in 85 IT felt that Jordan was going to take the spotlight and be a show boat Magic had nothing to do with Jordan's freeze out

@@bubufubu I followed all of MJ's games from college to last pro game with Washington. So yes, this is all true....common sense will tell you this is all true. Why, you ask, simple....professional bsaketball players do not like getting there asses handed to them by a bunch of college kids in front of millions of viewers, both live and on t.v. Where do you think Isiah get his vision later on for the Pistons bad boys. You guessed it, from these exhibition games and later on from Bird and the Celtic bustin up the Pistons with rough hard play.....
