Worthy at 6’9” showing all the moves and scoring against a 7 foot Ewing. You look at all his dunks and speed displayed from the 2 final four games (Houston and GTown) you can see why Pat Riley and Jerry West projected Worthy to be a great fit with Magic Johnson. Against Houston he went coast to coast for a huge jam, outrunning everyone down the court.

I'm a UNC guy, but it's always been interesting to me how people overlook that. If Brown catches himself and doesn't throw that ball, but instead swings it left to Ewing (then guarded by Jimmy Black), Worthy is at the top of the key completely out of position with Ewing in the paint. Doherty is there, but no match for Ewing, who begins to drive to the basket. Perkins would have to leave his man to help, leaving another Georgetown player potentially wide open under the basket. That said, I'm glad it didn't happen that way!

I wouldn't define it as a choke since the odds of them losing was so small regardless. Missing the second one was actually a good thing, and probably the right thing to do. And sometime you just miss. Now passing it to the wrong team is the definition of choke.

@@ckobo84 The second one was a MAJOR choke miss. Up only by one anything can happen with even just a couple of seconds left and they would have lost with a basket for GT.
