Michael Landon loved Dan Blocher so much and was devastated when he passed away. This is the first video I've seen of Michael talking about Dan's death and you can see his emotions surfacing when he does. Thank you for uploading this.

It's their rl relationship that kept the show going for as long as it lasted - which is why when Dan passed they were left with the one season. I honestly thing they would have kept going if not for that. At least until the big Hollywood moguls decided to do the Western purge of late night.

Michael Landon gave us some great television programs ...no question. Clean wholesome family entertainment. He was so talented, being able to act, write, produce and direct. Hec man he did it all. He was unquestionably also a good-looking man. I am a woman writing on my husband's account at the moment. Michael Landon was my first crush. I remember when Bonanza first hit our television screens, I was 12 years old, and I thought he was the most beautiful boy I had ever seen. To me he will always be Little Joe. I adored him then and continued to do so right up until the day he died. in addition to all that, he was also a thoroughly decent man with a big big heart. Michael is in heaven now and I hope I get to meet him some day. Thank you for this video clip .

Michael was so gorgeous and charming. He had his issues but Little House will always be a classic. He wrote so many touching episodes.

Michael Landon in his prime. The perfect look, voice, act, personality... Fabulously commendable in his so many roles... most admirably is in such prime he chose to present life values through Little House on the Prairie... many others would choose grandeur roles but of all, Michael’s Little House on the Prairie has been the greatness in all senses... ⭐️

I haven't seen this clip before, thank you for posting it. What a lovely man Mike was, and it is so moving the way he speaks about Dan and you can see the emotion he is trying to control. Mike gave us such incredible joy with his TV shows, which are still fresh and wonderful today.

Vikki was really flirting with Mike. Heck, I would've done it too. I liked his answers to all of the questions. He was a great man to interview. I wished he would've gotten an opportunity to say more about Pernell leaving.

She was very clingy with him but I can't blame her. Damn, he was handsome and funny. I've never seen Bonanza (before my time) and we never got it on any channels in the places I lived. Watched LHOTP of course.

RIP Michael Landon, Pernell Roberts, Dan Blocker and Lorne Greene. I grew up on reruns of Bonanza and watching each new episode of Little House on the Prairie with my family each week. Television was so much better then. Not much worth watching these days.

This was almost five months after the last episode of Bonanza aired, and you can see Michael choking up a little when talking about Dan Blocker. I understand that Michael was under a new contract with NBC to do Little house, but i wish they could have adressed the elephant in the room; why Bonanza was not given a proper ending. NBC could at least have given it a two parter episode to try to tie up some ends, perhaps have Pernell come back and give the main cast an indication of where they are heading. What happened to Little Joe's half brother from season 4? What happened to Ben's nephew Will Cartwright from season 5? Where was Adam during his absence?

It was very obvious that Michael's demeanor changed when he spoke of Dan -- they were very close. I've heard that he always wanted a big, rugged, kind man along side him...... thus Edwards, Merlin Olsen etc.

I always enjoyed Hoss and Little Joe's shenanigans on Bonanza; Hoss was my favorite Cartwright. I've read comments from ppl that said ppl were upset and hurt when PR left the show.I guess you can't believe everything you read.🤔

I think everyone on the show breathed a huge sign of relief with Pernell left, especially David Dortort who mentioned in an interview how Pernell would hound him to be let out of his contract because Bonanza was stopping him being the best film star ever. Pernell made life on set very difficult, deliberately throwing scenes, not learning lines etc in his attempt to get NBC to cancel his contract.
