I love Rabil but this is nothing but a case of protecting a superstar. The bias from the refs is a joke. It was a bad hit but swinging at a man’s balls in retaliation is unacceptable in itself.

That’s 💯% correct...I come from hockey, and you protect you guys when they get hit like that, same here. But, the penalties were garbage, and throwin the stick and goin for the balls are like lil kid moves. Clock him in the face before you hit him low like that

I'm fine with what Noone got suspension wise but he should've gotten ejected from the game, too. Rabil should've gotten an unsportsmanlike conduct. I think Lawson should've been suspended for 2 for his horse collar the previous week based on the ruling and how I feel about Noone's hit. The hard part is how to value a postseason game versus a regular season game. Right now, I'm of the opinion that you value the playoffs like the regular season (so don't let playoffs or not determine the suspension) which would also especially deter dirty and dangerous plays late in the season when you'd think guys are playing desperate and more likely to do questionable things.

Totally dude if that hit caught him like an inch lower under the mask that could have been a career ender if it got him right I had something similar happen to me when the dude hit me high and the stick got caught up under my chin and gave me craaazy whiplash I thought I broke my neck thank god I didn't but I was out the rest of the season shit should be taken seriously two game suspension was well earned lmao

I like that the commentators mention that Rabil's helmet almost came off because of the hit. But if you watch he has huu helmet so loose that he can take it off with out unsnapping his chin strap.

commentators have no idea what they are talking about. 30 white got 5 minutes which means he is out of the game. also in regards to 91 black, that is a very justifiable flag with a dead ball unsportsmanlike. it's by its nature a high emotion situation and you need to clamp down any time players do something like that

The difference of opinions between the two announcers is crazy! I agree with Paul, these guys are professionals. Noone should have been ejected, Rabil came in way too late after the fact. But the rest of the stuff is fair game in PROFESSIONAL lacrosse. 91 getting a foul for that push in the pile was stupid and I wouldn't ahve given a foul for the guy minimally protecting his guy. It wasn't like the guy came in and decked Noone, he simply pushed him a little.

I'm playing devils advocate here. That hit really wasn't that bad. He went to clean Rabil's clock don't get me wrong. But Rabil did leave himself defenceless. Always got to keep your head on a swivel out there. Growing up with box you see a lot more devastating hits then that.

Rabil should have got a unsportsmanlike for the stick toss and a roughing for the cross check to the hip. Westervelt standing up for his teammate is was the right thing IMO. The hit was high for sure, but he was finishing a check I don't think it was too late. It should not have been a two Noone a two game playoff suspension. Playoff games are worth more the regular season games two games was excessive

He was finishing a check that he started late. And he started with his head down so he wasn't paying attention to the ball he was just going for the hit for the hell of the hit.

Westervelt really didn't do much to protect Rabil. Noone deserved a lot more than he got from Westervelt. If you are going to come at Noone after that - and Westervelt was right to come at him - at least do something to the guy.

Its arguable it was or wasn’t late. It’s arguable it was or wasnt a flop. But that was a cross check. And commentators are a bit biased in favor of rabil. Cant deny that
