Michael’s had Clearance yarn I wanted! It’s a shock. My local Michael’s is normally understocked in yarn and lacking in sales.

Nice haul Shannon yea our Michaels is bare as well. Joanns is nice I love all there yarns. I get to take a video trip next payday I'm very excited for that. And you do have a lot of projects you amaze me at how fast you whip those blankets and sweaters out and the clothes for your grandbabies. You are truly a amazing person.

Oh, now I want to swing by my Michaels... But a trip to Michaels is never just a trip to Michaels, as there's a Joanns in the next plaza... And a Savers Thrift and Hobby Lobby across the street. I've been doing pretty well shopping my stash lately!

My closest Michael's opened a few months ago. For the grand opening they had tons of yarn. It is dwindling down and they don't have even half of what they started with. Very disappointing. Will have to see if they have any clearence. Thanks for the reminder on the square.

You always find the best things 👀 I did say, “What she went to Michael’s no way!” I once found Caron Cotton Cakes for $2.50 each and yea I grabbed them. That neon is amazing. Your going to need to add shelves on the walls for the yarns 😅 the knitted square is giving bumble bee and I love it

Since I got those at my local Michaels I went to the one closer to my work, it’s normally better stocked. The 2 colors I wanted that weren’t discounted at mine were discounted so I ended up with them for $5 after all

Crystals brand new hat! Oh ya i just ordered the wire for brim its so cute gotta try. I don't lije more than one project at a time but.. im into jumping around not by choice. One channel started z sweater and niw hasn't returned 😮😮so ill have tk figure it out for myself. Waiting. In thd middle of 2 blankets😮😮😮 and gjnba atarh thag hat!!!! Small projects in between are satisfying 😊😊😊❤

That’s what I do if I’m next to one but I no longer drive out of my way to go to one. Too much miss for that.

I have one Michael’s that has practically no yarn and another that has all the yarn. They’re reasonably close by. I do love the skinny cakes, and I got a number of them probably not as many as you have but a lot.❤

I think for the skinny cakes I have maybe 8/9 left from the first time buying them when they dropped to $5, looked like a close out. It was a while before they brought the skinny cakes back. I do like that depending on the pattern 2 cakes is enough for a small blanket.

Have fun. If you have the app and know you like the yarn do the curb pickup. They give you bigger discounts. I think it’s stupid but it’s how they play the game.

Don't have any of the big box yarn stores near me so I'm probably safe in that aspect. Mostly I hit Walmart and Dollar Tree for what I get. Rare times buying on sites like Ice, Hobbii, etc. Hence the month of no yarn buying for me. :)

The Dollar Tree by me doesn’t have the yarn and our Walmart is pretty scarce too. We do have some Local Yarn Stores (LYS) nearby enough to go too. Price is higher of course. There’s nothing wrong with not buying yarn every month

I stopped by another Michaels on my way home from work. They had some colors on sale mine didn’t (that pink and yellow ones I was talking about). It was some colors of the Cinnamon cakes and Skinny cakes. Everything else you could use the 20% coupon in your app as they were not on sale.

No kidding. They have self checkout now. The workers didn’t acknowledge us at all. No offer to ring up, nothing

I was surprised that my local michaels had them and marked them down. I forgot to talk about the lack of customer service. The workers didn’t acknowledge us entering. Since they have self checkout now even the person at the one register had to stop talking to their coworkers to ring the lady up in front of me. I really dislike self checkout but used it since the workers didn’t seem interested in anyone in the store

And the parents are the ones that pull the centers out of the cake yarn and I don't know why.
