The absolute essential Michael Schenker experience is the legendary One Night at Budokan double album. I cannot recommend that enough.

The Alkatrazz song, “Hiroshima Mon Amor”, off the No Parole From Rock and Roll Live has long been a favorite of mine. Yngwie tears it up. Michael Schenker is probably my favorite guitarist though.

Great song and reaction Nick. I’m not happy that you and Alexia were deprived of a wider music experience while living in Mexico. BUT, your loss is our gain because you two are now uniquely qualified to experience this music on your channel for the first time and we get to watch, share and relive our own experiences together. We couldn’t be more lucky that you had limited access. I hope that we are doing enough to share this music together. It seems like we can all be winners. Thanks for all that you do keep talking boss you are doing great. 👍👍

I was just listening to Schenker earlier today from his UFO days. His playing on Phenomenon was epic.

The newer schenker albums are still amazing!!! His temple of rock albums are stellar, no need to request certain songs, just throw a dart and pick a song, they are all amazing

Kevin11 here. I get nervous hoping you enjoy my deep tracks. Great to see you really dig this song the way I hope you would. I was in high school from 81-85 and we had a killer record store just off campus. Alcatraz no parole for rock and roll, 2 MSG albums and Steeler back seat driver were the albums I bought there. Graham Bonnet did an album with Schenker call assault attack which is great. I seen both yngwie and schenker live during those years and I was obsessed with both. Micheal open for Ted nugent in 1984 and Schenker played perfect. He doesn’t make mistakes live. Nick can you answer me this? Do you add songs to your playlist after you react? Is there 5 blind melon songs in your rotation? Just curious. Great reaction my friend Kevin11

Gary Barden may not have been the best singer in the world, but I think he was the best writing partner Michael Schenker had other than Phil Mogg. Simon Phillips played the drums on this. Nobody else really played with the fluidity and melodicism of Michael Schenker when he first appeared. The closest parallel was Blackmore but his technique was distinctly different. Adrian Smith and Yngwie Malmsteen were a generation later, even though it may not seem so from forty years or more after the fact.

Schenker is best melodic guitarist in Rock history. Guthrie and Mancuso could only ever dream of creating such memorable incredible licks.
