I always believed that the reason Michael hates Toby so much as that Toby is from Human Resources. The only Department of the office that Michael can't control, so Toby is free to call him out when he's doing things that are clearly unacceptable. So the constant inappropriate comments, harassment, racism, sexism, and overall horrible things Michael says and does that he thinks is funny and charming is being "ruined" by Toby. So he hates him.

I thought it was because he is divorced. And his parents were divorced and he hated his dad for getting the divorced. So he hates Toby.

I think Toby is boring and just by speaking he sucks the life out of a person’s body, so Michael hates him but that doesn’t change the fact that Toby is a nice guy
