As for why Henry didn’t finish off Brenner during the Hawkins Lab massacre, I’ve got a working hypothesis: He had seen Brenner laid out unconscious after that door crashed in, at which point Henry killed Ten. Then his plan was to recruit Eleven to his side - and they would go finish off Brenner together, to mark her first kill.

Kate Trefry, who is a writer on ST and wrote the play, said that Hopper and Bob will have a Steve & Dustin like relationship. Perhaps the reason for including Steve & Dustin in the clip is to remind you of that buddy relationship in anticipation of Hopper and Bob.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought it had been established that The Upside Down was already there; Eleven did not create it, she just accidentally opened a door to it. Also, @8:45 Henry didn't create the mindflayer! It was shown in the flashback of him exploring TUD that Demogorgens and the Mind Flayer were already there coexisting; he just used his powers to mold the Mind Flayer into the shape he wanted (which is what we then see in S3 onwards). So everythinhg is kinda different. The First Shadow took it back to its Lovecraftian roots and Mind Flyer / Vecna relationship to Sauron / Saruman. In 1943 there was project related to USS Eldridge (real myth) and ship disappeared to Upside Down. Whole crew was killed by Demogorgons except Brenners father. He told about it to him on his death bed and Brenner wanted to repeat this experiments in Nevada. But one scientist wanted to do it on his own and started experimenting in caves. Creel family lived nearby and Victor found way to caves. He was transported with scientist to Upside Down, where he was infected (same as Will or Billy) by Mind Flyer. That changed his personality and DNA, so he got his powers. Family then moved to Hawkins as we know from S4, where Victor started to be more and more under influence of Mind Flyer. Brenner knew that someone was in the caves and was looking for him... and finally he found Victor. He became 01 and when Brenner started his MK Ultra project, he infused Victors blood to pregnant women. It means that all powers comes basically from Mind Flyer (altered DNA is his particles) and its possible that if they will succesfully kill Mind Flyer, all people with abilities will loose them forever. And when El sent Victor to Upside Down... it was his second journey there. We just saw fragments of his past... and maybe he does not even remember it, because Infected people loose their memories. Victor also did not create Mind Flyer, he just gave it shape of spider.

Quick Theory, You how in season 1, Will used a fire ball in D&D and missed and got taken. In season 4, Erica beat Vecna in D&D. Will Erica kill Vecna in season 5?

Dustin being able to counter the mind flayer's hold on Dart through compassion and protection showed that Vecna's reach isn't absolute. Also, I can't wait to see Joyce and Hopper smoking a joint under the stairs when their teacher chases them. You know it was weed they were talking about when Joyce coughed on the first hit, since she's a steady smoker so it definitely wasn't just tobacco.

Here"s my theory. So, Papa told their child not to involve emotion in their psychic power. 001 then teach 011 to use anger and hate to be more powerful.
