Watching the Battle of Salucemi from Clone Wars in slow motion revealed a TON of hidden details that everyone missed watching these episodes for the first time. Here's a compilation of all the different things I've found! Let's begin.

Fun Fact: George Lucas specifically requested that the majority of the Twi'lek Race have French regional accents. He said that it increased the beauty of the species, as well as making them more appealing as slaves (which the Race is mostly known for). Check other Twi'leks across star wars and you will hear the accent.

That clone who got sucked in the outer space at 9:13 unfortunatelly stayed alive for a while, since phase 1 armor seems to be protected as in s1e2, Sinker and Boost were able to survive outside the escape pod with Plo Koon for quite a while, and in s2e2 Rex and 501st walk on hull of separatist frigate just like that, hopefully that one got picked up by one of the other ships and survived

phase 1 is vacuum capable it isnt a "seems to be" its literally a "its designed to be" scenario. phase 2 armor removed the capabilities however rex later modified his armor so it has some of both

Infrared is also used as night vision or in very dense foggy areas, just not as the typical googles used for night vision. Veritasium did a video on it

Regarding the Reeks being on Salucemi, I believe these herbivorous species are native to the planet. They are typically greenish in color and only take on a reddish hue after being forced to eat meat. As for Eopees (not sure i spelled correctly), I believe that were brought in by farmers. This leads me to believe that Grievous got the creatures from a local farmer.

Reeks are typically tame and thus one should actually be all green, the one on geonosis was trained to be aggressive and only fed red meat leading to its red coloration 22:33 this is acta human reflex, soldiers gets shot and as they die, or even just in pain, they spasm also that droid shot 3 times not twice

Anyone else notice Rex’s wound inconsistency? He gets shot center left chest, but when they’re treating him and flip him over it looks like he’s injured in his right ribs. IDK maybe different injury from the fall/tumble? 17:39 Obi-Wan sees rocket coming “Watch me do a cool flip.” Clone driver “Yeah, but would also be cool is if you use the Force and push the rocket out of the way so I don’t get hit. No? K.”

It's probably just an inconsistency, but my head canon is that he hit a rock falling off or his backplate got pushed in a little too hard. (Even if it did ricochet like a normal bullet it would have fried the surrounding flesh and punctured at least 1 lung and his tubes)

Adi gallia actually used reverse grip quite a bit in the Jedi Starfighter game and the Jedi council comics. As far as I know, she’s actually the first Jedi/sith to ever be shown holding a saber like that.

I think the cycler rifle had a purple flash because the commando shot with a red bolt that mixed with the blue bolt flash, so it looked purple.

Always found it funny how often they used Kit Fistos lightsaber design. Grievous has it, Koth has it, Cin Drallig has it and also Ima Gun Di has it. Funny thing here is, not only does Grievous fight against Koth with the exact same saber, but later when he sends the message to the Jedi council Kit Fisto is there having also the same hilt (and his seat in the council is right next to Eeth Koth's)

Generation One clones aren't any different than other generations of clones other than the fact that they're older and made with less degraded genetic material. The only reason Rex survived is because of the extra protection provided by his pauldron.

13:13 Nowadays we know Rex survives(BC he is in other projects and CW S7) but at the time no one knew what could happen to him after all he is none of the movies (bc he was created after them) so Rex had no plot armour in this inctense.

17:25 Reeks are actually peaceful herbivores. The Geonosians tortured the heck out of the one in AOTC and fed it an all meat diet from what I remember. Reeks are not naturally red pigmented. However I don't know if the TCW showrunners knew this or not

The reason you see clones on the cruiser in Geonosis armour was the 212th Pathfinder Battalion (the clones in the desert camo) are part of the same unit as the regular 212th, same as the airborne clones from revenge of the sith. They probably just haven’t changed armour since Geonosis

8:40 Clones in TCW have plot armour. It seems like people don't realise this for some reason, but the stuff they survive is just ridiculous. Like in the major battle during the Chip conspiracy arc, the clones are literally walking slowly into a wall of blaster fire Episode 2 style and yet they take maybe a handful of casualties because miraculously the entire droid army is hitting everything but them.

22:45 In addition to the "trigger finger" theory, I think Cut made the Commando's vision flicker in and out of infrared mode. In Battlefront II (2017), the Commando Droid's middle ability gives him infrared vision, and if you are looking at the Commando as another player, you can see that their eyes turn red while the ability is active. I think Cut glitched the Commando's vision with that punch!

We know from the Malevolence arc that Dooku doesn't approve of Grevious' tendency to destroy battle droids because the droids are expensive. So I don't think he cares for them directly, I think he cares about the CIS finances and logistics.

Interface, when Phase 2 clone armor came out red didn’t really like it so he took a blowtorch and dissected it and put it back together with pieces of his phase 1 armor including his pauldron because it protected him from the Commando Droid’s sniper shots. He also added the visor of his phase 1 armor to his phase 2 set.

Probably down to being a non-standard design for a Venator class cruiser, So the designers might not have thought of that shuttle when designing it. E, also to touch on it the frames of the hangars are to small for a fully deployed Eta class shuttle.

I’d say the reason why the battle droids were shooting after the death so much, was kind of like how the human body functions either they were about a fire, and they died as their firing or the body of the droid shut down, so it shut down the force of the fingers and made it go numb of coursein the force of the finger pressed down the trigger

17:54 the ammo in the AT-TE is stored kind of where its belly is, under the floor of where the clones are housed on the inside to man the other cannons, its possible the droid was aiming for the ammo housing so that it would blow up, kinda like if you hit a irl tanks ammo supply it becomes a big fireball

9:13 don't remember how is it with phase II armor, but if I recall correctly, phase I armor was pressurised and had 1 hour supply of oxygen for these situations, so the trooper might have been recovered.

The lightsaber ignition pushing the hands backwards is a nice little detail, which you can also see more clearly in ROTS Grievous v Kenobi. The Jedi at 4:18 is the Jedi Master, whom Savage kills on his first mission by Count Dooku. Also the Jedi at 4:31 we can only see 1 other time in an Intro of a Season 5 Episode right now I’m not sure which it is, but in the intro we see Maul and Savage kill 2 Jedi and she is 1 of them.

13:13 I'm gonna sound like a nerd but the blaster bolts don't exactly pierce the skin, they do in some cases but most of the time they just hit you and burn your blood vessels and organs because of the heat, so I'm pretty sure the injury on rex's back is because he fell on the road off a speeder bike which was going fairly fast

Ok so then could the reason Rex survived simply be that the blaster just wasn’t fully charged so not able to deal a powerful blast or something in that vain (they had established both droid supplies and power is running low)

@@blistow3519 Maybe but I doubt it, since clone armor is made of plastoid which is made to help them survive blaster shots, and since it hit the the shoulder pad part that covers his chest it most likely burned him from the inside but wasn't enough to deal severe enough damage to kill him

on the matter of the Light saber Recoil at 3:06. Yes, we do indeed, actually see this happen again, in revenge of the sith. When Grievous prepares to fight Obi Wan on Utipaow (probably butchered that name, sorry) all 4 of his light sabers give off a bit of recoil just like in this episode too! It's a really small detail that's easy to miss during the Utipaow fight too so good on the animation team for adding that little detail in this episode.

I love how this video is narrated in the chronological order; like, michael finds something out and then corrects himselv during the take of the vid instead of editing it; also, dude, you sound like freemans mind (ross scott) as soon as you get exited. I wasn't a sub, not until now. I need more of this virtual passion in the youtube-surfing part of my life.

You didn’t even comment on the droids shadow being cast by the blaster bolt after he rams his blaster under the clones helmet, that's another layer of detail they added.
