Watching the Battle of Teth from Star Wars the Clone Wars Movie in slow motion revealed a TON of hidden details that everyone missed watching these episodes for the first time. Here's a compilation of all the different things I've found! Let's begin.

Fun fact, reading the novelization of the Clone Wars film, Ventress wasn't actually able to mind trick Rex. He just ran with it so he could tip off Anakin. At least, that's what I remember. Been years since I read it.

21:05 the starfighters the clones used in early season were V-19 Torrents, they then moved onto the ARC-170 and Z-95 Headhunters later in the war, and about 2 months before the Empire they got the V-Wing

Teth was revisited in season 3 of the Bad Batch, the monasteries became the secret hideout for Rex’s rescued clones. Unfortunately it was found by the empire and destroyed.

Regarding Anakin knowing Ventress there are two reasons. 1. When TCW was first being written it was being written as if it was connected to the 03 show, thats why so many of the characters designs are so similar to the 03 show. TCW didn't completely separate from the 03 show until season 4. 2. In a later arc in the series its revealed that Anakin and Ventress fought on Cristopsis.

What exactly happened in Season 4? I know the 2003 Clone Wars didnt talk about Order 66 so if its inhibitor chips, then it shouldn't be that much of a problem.

@@ARCtrooper65 Season 4 begins with a complete re-write of the battle of Mon Cala. The people who fight are different, the droids are different, Dooku is completely absent, the Quarren and Mon Calamari's tech is different and the battle ends with the Quarren and the Mon Calamari more or less joining together in peace. The season 4 premiere is more or less where TCW officially cut ties with the 2003 show.

Another detail you missed is the clone in the laat. Mentioned that his name I'd ridge. We see ridge get killed by maul. This means ridge survived from the battle of christosis to the siege of Mandalore.

I always thought it was weird that the cables aren't attached to the armor. Seems like a huge inconvenience to have the rifle be the only thing with the cable

@@ilpoomatili9549 in some other parts of the show they are shown firing the cables from their rifles and then clipping them to their belts. So they definitely have the option of clipping in, and some cones in this video did as they are seen getting shot and still hanging there. But it seems that some of the clones chose to just hold on for the climb rather than clipping in while under fire.

There are a few deleted scenes from this battle, one where Ventress originally caught up much faster and they have a duel with Ahsoka fighting the droids and Anakin fighting Ventress, and after a bit I believe R2 releases a Rancor to add to the chaos. There's another on that lookout platform where Anakin and Ahsoka fight a couple of vulture droids before Ventress turns up. If you're interested in watching those I'm sure a quick KZfaq search could find them.

Yep! Sergeant Coric, Attie, Zeer, Nax, and Del. Interestingly enough, Ridge originally was one of the clones to die on Teth in the novel, but that was retconned with his survival and subsequent death in Clone Wars season 7 during Order 66. Also, fun fact, Nax and his survival of Teth were recanonized recently with him officially being the homeless clone in the Kenobi show.

17:31 In the “Brotherhood” novel, both Obi-Wan and Anakin first encountered Ventress during the investigation of the Cato Nemoidia disaster. Making her canonical appearance in the clone wars timeline. Also The season one episode “The Hidden Enemy” takes place before the events of the clone wars movie. Also Obi-Wan mentions Cato Nemoidia in Revnge of the Sith

Fun fact: in The Clone Wars (the movie) we see Torrent Company, one of 4 companies making up a legion, and during Teth and the previous battle, they similar to the Wolfpack were wiped out down to the commanding officer and one or two other guys. The name guy (who stands next to Rex) is Ridge, if that is familiar he got Maul’d in the series finale. In Legends it was a Rex, Sargent Coric, and four unnamed clones. The losses he suffered those days may have led him to make the tally marks over his Phase II armor

A couple corrections, four companies make up a battalion, four battalions make up a regiment, and four regiments make up a legion, so a legion actually has 64 companies in it, not four companies. Also, the four other clones who survived Teth besides Rex and Coric in Legends weren't unnamed, they were Attie, Del, Nax, and Zeer. Fun fact, Nax and his survival of Teth was actually recanonized recently with him being the homeless clone in Kenobi.

If you look closely you can see that a few of Anakin’s clones actually have the blue 501st accents, but they are so hard to see. Some 501st clones in “Landing at Point Rain” also have them. As a kid I never noticed them and always thought Denal was the only other 501st clone to get blue accents until “Grievous Intrigue”/“The Deserter” and Echo and Fives in “ARC Troopers”

Yeah, they're actually rather common in the first couple seasons, they're just often hard to see because of how faded the blue usually is. The phase 1 501st troopers appear, as far as I can tell at least, in the Clone Wars movie, Landing at Point Rain, Weapons Factory, Grievous Intrigue, Duchess of Mandalore, and deleted scenes from Duchess of Mandalore.

Also, in the clone wars, there are a couple of episodes set before the clone wars film. In one of them, Rex and Cody are trying to find the clone traitor (Slick) during the battle of christophsis. It turns out a clone is sending information to Ventress. And that’s where Anakin and Ventress met.

16:06 no, this happens in real life with real people too, basically as they are falling, or the recoil knocks somebody around your finger moves against the trigger, a gun and its wielder are two separate entities, and therefore move independently. and when you move, the surface of your hand has to touch the gun to make it move with you aswell, just so happens that your hand/finger bumbs the trigger hard enough to fire. this is why when you have no intention to fire irl you make sure your finger is off the trigger.

20:14 this frame is surprisingly realistic now that I’ve seen the video by High Speed Ballistics where they had the RPG blow up in his hands. It is a little bit graphic (for educational purposes) so not everyone will want to go watch, but he was enveloped in an explosive ball of fire very much like that battle droid was. Kudos to the animators

We saw Teth, and the same monostary during TBB S3, when Rex, and his clone resistance+ the bad batch had to fight off the empire, Wollfe, and that Clone X guy alot of people thought was Tech or Cody. Also, it could be explained that Ventress has jedi Mindtricks, because she was trained to be a jedi before turning to the darkside

I think Rex was duel wielding the dc-15s because the pistols aren’t big enough to have cables that reach the height of the cliff, he’s also used to fuel wielding so he may have used one to climb with and the other to shoot.

15:45 It could be that the droids E-5 blaster have a more light/sensitive trigger when compared to the clones blasters. 17:30 Well it's said that Anakin got the scar on his right eye from Ventress. Edit: 21:03 That is a V-19 torrent starfighter. The reason it looks like that is because, the lower middle wing folds back vertically, and the two side wings are, at that point, spread outwards horizontally. As to why the wings are spread out instead of folded up, at 21:27 you can see someone possibly doing maintenance on it, and it could be possible that the wings are down to make it easier to work on the engines and the blasters that are on the ends of the wings.

I mean, canonically this movie is after the battle where slick betrays the clones that’s literally the same battle. They finished it and then they sent the ship back to get the supplies that was used in the first battle so because the encounter was slick is at that time, he fights her, and then him and Obi-Wan run back to the artillery cannons because slick blew up all the other vehicles, and the only other things that survived were the cannons that canonically is where it is they even state. The only thing that survived was the cannons and some other things.

The show or the movie does not start just after Ep2, so yes they know Ventress already, also the battle of Crystopsis(? I do not remember the spelling) that this movie starts with has a prequel episode from the show I believe 1x16, the Slick betreyal one.

I think the trigger thing work for the droids but I think for clones when they die they just grip really hard tensing and that fires a shot while they fall.

The ship you ask about around 21:17 is a V-19 torrent. The tail that is sticking up folds down and the wings fold out to the sides to make a somewhat oblong shape. They were the first starfighters employed by the GAR during the clone wars for clones before things like the Z-95 and ARC-170

if you see at 10:37 the clone on the edge is not standing there but is the clone that got shot before on the climb up to the monastery he's the last one up and missed out on the battle and you can see that he's looking around like what i miss whoaa

The battle of Christiphous happens right before this as seen from the episode “Traitor” when they’re readying the cannons for the coming battle. Anakin and Obi-Wan face off against Ventress. So that’s where they encountered her before.

Anakin did meet Ventress before this battle, before the main battle of Christophsi when a clone went rogue and sabotaged the republic's "tank parking lot" (which is why we didn't see any at-te's during the battle)

They return to Teth during the Ziro chase. Obi-Wan and Quinlan Voss track down the escaped hutt. I believe it’s where/when Ziro dies, followed by the Cad Bane/Jedi fight

The clone fired when he got shot was because (I assume) his muscles just tensed, and his finger moved. Also, those aren't ARC 170'S. They are V-19 torrents (or turrets)

The clone that kept firing after he got shot with the droid gun was because of rigor mortus, he was already in the action then died suddenly and his finger clenched the trigger
