A Deeper Conversation About Grounding

A few weeks ago, as Robert Holden and I finished up our Spiritual Resilience Mastermind, I shared some thoughts about grounding that began with an exploration of "via positiva and via negativa", went through a couple of flip charts worth of visual metaphors, and finished with some thoughts on both our essential nature and the nature of the spiritual journey. Many people (including Robert) said it was one of the clearest articulations of the principles they'd come across, so I thought I'd share it in its entirety here.
If you enjoy the video and want to go deeper still, you'll probably love joining me for a new 4-month program beginning this May called Going Deeper. It's a chance to look behind the curtain of the human experience to see what we can see about "first principles" and to catch a glimpse of our true nature. It's also an opportunity to increase the depth, purity, and duration of our experience of the space within.

I loved it! 2 beautiful models (negativa & positivia) for looking at our experience through the lens of the 3P's. It really is so simple,! I'm excited to start Going Deeper.

Thank you. Some great clarity about what is happening and some novel description that I really like. For me, the terms 'via P' and 'via N' are a distraction from the story and just add another set of jargon. A simple discussion of ways of looking at things without the Latin would have sufficed.

That’s ace. Your diagram reflected 3 of the 4 existential dimensions of existence, with social and physical (form) blended into one. Have you been comparing notes with Emmy van Deurzen?

How do we tell the difference between subconscious suggestions (New idias, new toughts ) - And the divine minds fresh new thoughts, new idias ? - How do you know the difference, I mean do we credit the the innate wisdom (mind) for some of our subconscious doing. Can it feel "new" but build in the subconsciousness. - Hope you can answer, as I get them mixed up.

The answer to all your questions is the same -- It's in the feeling. Its many subtle shades and difference become clearer and more obvious with continuos attention and observation. At first it's like telling the difference between blades of grass on your lawn.

@@gcarver99 maybe Ill could ask like this, and I know the answer i beyound my thinking, but feelings do come via thought right, so the difference is tricky. How would you know the difference between What has come up as a “new thought ” through your subconsious to your consious mind, and the new fresh thoughts through the divine mind? If you say its a feeling, then its in a thought too right. - I know it to be true, and “that” knowing I really cant place anywhere, so maybe the knowing is my answer.

@@runemaxhansen Its all thought. Just the fresher the thought, the clearer and lighter the feeling. The truer the thought, the more it should lift you up like a balloon filled with helium. The ultimate balloon is the balloon of no thought. That one launches you to space like a rocket.

@@mothstoflame for me, its like Im hearing more and more, that the subconsiouness “doesent exist”, its all thought... I was trying to destinquis suconsiouss thoughts from the innate wisdom thoughts.. but it Have come to see its all thought anyway. It does not matter.. 😂
